Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... The location was absolutely stunning with amazing views of the Arenal volcano and lake. We loved the various hiking trails, one even led to a water fall where you could swim, so bring your swim suits! We saw so much wild-life nearby on our walks including coyotes, toucans and monkeys. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved every meal and found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, wish we could have stayed longer!

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 6 km from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. Iliked almost everything: location, facilities, room, pools etc. The only thing I would recommend is to give more options in breakfast. lack of vegetables and other healthy options was the only thing I didn’t like in this hotel

Set in Fortuna, 2.7 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Fortuna Retreat offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We had a wonderful stay at Fortuna Retreat. The rooms have a great view of the Arenal Volcano and are very clean, spacious, and super comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay and truly made us feel at home. We booked a few tours directly with them, with convenient pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. Breakfast is included at a restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, and as a bonus, the area is great for birdwatching. Highly recommend!
