The location of this lodge is really nice, close to the beach and restaurants. Both rooms (we had one of the houses in main pictures, and one in the larger white building) were very nice, large, clean and very nice atmosphere. Receptionist Griselda was super! She adviced on a good restaurant for Christmas dinners and booked for us. She was always there for any question or help needed, with a smile! Breakfast was very nice, and the person serving (not sure of his name) was always friendly. Great to see so the animals and birds in the garden of the lodge. I include pictures of our 2 pool friends. The jaguar rescue center next to this hotel lodge is also a must-visit (really nice).

Centrally located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca town centre and just a 3-minute walk from Salsa Brava Beach, Hotel Indalo adults only features an extensive garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. The place was very clean and rooms cozy and modern. The location may seem far at the map but it was 5min walk to the beach and many restaurants. The staff was very helpful and kind. The pool was also very pretty!

Set in Puerto Viejo, 1.3 km from Negra Beach, La Bonita Lodge offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Everything! Beautifully designed, new bungalows in the middle of a tranquil oasis of a garden with delightful pool. Also with private outdoor shower! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

Located in Puerto Viejo, less than 1 km from Cocles Beach, Conga Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The hotel was extremely beautiful, well decorated, and clean. It is surrounded by nature making our stay very peaceful and quiet. The staff were amazing and always ready to help, they also provided very good tips and always had such a positive atitude that made our stay more meaningful.

KAÑIK APART HOTEL in Puerto Viejo provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We loved the location as it was out of the bustle of town and being set right in the jungle is amazing. The rooms are beautiful with attention to detail such as providing some basic cooking needs such as oil and vinegar was appreciated. Javier and Sebastian are wonderful hosts.

Silvio, the host was friendly and accommodating. He provided the information necessary for us to have a good stay and recommendations for activities and food near by.

Set in Puerto Viejo, 700 metres from Negra Beach, Mecca offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We stayed in the Casita reina (the small house on the property). Everything was wonderful. The house is perfect for a couple. You got everything you need for cooking. Bed is comfortable. Missing a few hang hooks for the towel but otherwise all very comfortable. The pool is super nice. Kim, the host, is very accommodating and you ll received a warm welcome From her and her dogs. The house is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a grocery store. 30 minutes walk from Puerto viejo so close enough to walk but far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet if needed. Highly recommend:)
