There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

Excellent spacious place. Jacuzzi in the bath, bedroom up the stairs. All good. Breakfast was great. Tuzco is a five minute walk back from the beach which, bearing in mind how noisy the area at the front can be is a real bonus. The pool and its surrounds were clean and well organised. But the best thing about the place is Julio and his staff. Welcoming, friendly and professional at all times. They arranged an early breakfast for me on two of my mornings and could not have been more helpful.

A short walk away from restaurants and bars. Day trip by boat to Isla la Plata to snorkel and to see the Blue footed Boobies on their nests. Breakfasts were delicious had 3 choices! Staff made you feel at home.
