Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. Beautiful and exceptionally clean. Very historic and grand. Car parking was tight getting on the car elevator, a unique experience. It is best to have a small vehicle in Europe.

Clearly a very old building expertly upgraded to a very high standard. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, great shower, great mattress and most impressive was a range of top quality Jamon and other snacks and beers in the fridge, all very reasonably priced unlike most minibars in hotels. We really appreciated our relaxed night here after a long drive. Breakfast was so impressive with a lovey selection of tasty delights …,,I had to hold back from eating everything! Can’t fault this great B&B …attention to detail is everything and this family know how to run things properly. Thanks !

We booked at very short notice; a halfway stop on our way to Portugal. An ideal location just 10 minutes from the motorway. What a lovely surprise, a beautiful boutique style room and excellent breakfast to set us up for the onward journey. Ana was a delightful host who went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival. Highly recommended.

Featuring free WiFi and a garden, Apartamentos Rurales Monfragüe is located in the village of Torrejón el Rubio. It offers rustic-style air-conditioned apartments and studios. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet, there is everything we needed. The two sofa armchairs were really comfy. The sofà was not comfortable but we did not use it. Internal parking is limited but we found a spot every day. From there was very easy to drive to Monfragüe and the near Trujillo or Caceres. We really enjoy our stay.

Juanmi our host could not have been more helpful as well as friendly and attentive. The house is close to the National Park and offers shorts distances to many beautiful sites.

Sierra De Monfrague Apartments are in the centre of Torrejon el Rubio, on the edge of Monfragüe National Park. There is free Wi-Fi, and free parking is available nearby. The appartement is nothing fancy but clean and adequate. For us the bonus was that we could park our bicycles in the garage and, a nice swimming pool with recliners a 100m away. Wonderful place to relax.
