Offering a spa centre and hot spring bath, Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena is set in Valbuena de Duero. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Staff was great. Spa was perfect and monastery is gorgeous. The room was confortable with a bathtube and a large shower. It is was absolutely quiet at night and very dark so we could sleep in. The sidewalk by the river and the vineyard is smooth and nice. The bistro "gastrobar" is the best option

El hotel Castilla Termal Olmedo está situado en un convento reformado del siglo XII, se encuentra a 40 km de Valladolid y utiliza aguas minerales termales en su complejo de spa. Really relaxed but elegant and beautiful. The rooms are quiet and lovely. The robes and slippers were so nice. The staff were very welcoming and excellent.

Amazing place, tough to put into words to be honest. Amazing room, very spacious, clean but also cosy with fire. Spa was huge for 2 people, and really fun to do before dinner. The host Pedro, was lovely, helping with charging for my car. The dinner (tasting course, soooo delicious), wine from cellar, locally sourced chocolate.. all felt like a dream. Highly recommend!!

The property offered the perfect blend of tranquility and comfort, with impeccably clean accommodations and a fully-equipped kitchen that met all our needs. The romantic, secluded patio was a highlight—providing both a peaceful retreat for us and a safe space for our dog to enjoy. Maria José, our host, went above and beyond with her warm hospitality, generously sharing her time and local recommendations. Her homemade pastries at breakfast were simply delicious—a special touch that made each morning something to look forward to. The location is ideal, nestled in a charming town alongside a natural preserve bordering the River Duero. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent hiking opportunities, while families will find plenty to enjoy. We were pleasantly surprised to discover fine dining options nearby, and the proximity to Toro—just a 15-minute drive away—makes this a perfectly positioned base for exploring the region (and its wines). Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, authentic Spanish countryside experience with all the comforts of home.

We needed a one night stay while on our road trip from the top of France to the bottom of Portugal and this was the perfect spot! The garage space was great for our large car, and we didn’t have to unload everything out of our car to keep it safe, the treats that they left inside were so great, both for breakfast and snacking! And a sweet gift was left also. The bed is comfortable as is the living room. It was a handy to have an elevator and communication was very clear and quick. Tons of restaurants close by as well as grocery stores. Nice grass area outside to walk the dogs. Nice city we had never been to, we were very pleasantly surprised!
