This is a lovely little hotel. It has two rooms. We stayed with our one year old and five year old. Florence, the host, was so welcoming and had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and fun. The kids had their own box of toys to play with in the shade while we all had free drinks on arrival. The room was great, stylish and good quality fittings in the bedroom and bathroom, clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into it. There was a double bed and a sofa bed. Great rain shower with lots of pressure, two sinks etc. Little details that you just don’t get in other hotels such as actually providing wash cloths. The room wasn’t huge but it was absolutely fine and to be honest it didn’t matter because of everything else available. Downstairs is a kitchenette with plenty of appliances to make dinner, and games room with table football, piano, guitar, arcade machine and lots of books and board games. Enough space and fun to keep everyone entertained. Outside is the pool which is a great size, and kept very clean. There are lots of loungers and tables to sit at, plenty of shade where needed which was great in the heatwave for our kids, and again lots of toys for use in the pool. Pool towels provided. Breakfast was lovely - croissants, melon, bread, cheese, conserves and even some delicious brownies. Highchair and baby plates provided for our little one. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay again and I would strongly recommend going here over a big chain hotel. It was perfect for us as a stopover on the way back to England.

The hosts were very welcoming and gave us giod tips on restaurants and places to visit on our route. Good breakfast with local products.

Our hosts were lovely people and we enjoyed every minute with them. The bed was great and the breakfast excellent! Our dog made a new friend with their dog and enjoyed watching the chickens.

Featuring garden views, La Perle Secrète provides accommodation with a garden, a bar and a shared lounge, around 38 km from Centre National du Costume de Scene. The most warmest of welcomes and the highest level of service throughout. A beautiful evening meal completed with the best wines and great service.A truly unique and tranquil experience the only problem was we only booked one night!! We will be back next year if they will have us!! We travelled with our 3 children they loved the pool and the fantastic location and experience from the local cows who reside in the neighbouring field,to the very best cuisine from the local area. I miss our fantastic hosts already!

Chateau du Grand Lucay features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Centre National du Costume de Scene and 22 km of Moulins Cathedral. It was a lovely spot and very comfortable accommodations. You are not far from town but you get a great country experience.
