Facilities were great. We prepared an evening meal in the communal kitchen. Florence was extremely helpful. We would stay again. Vichy was a lovely town. We wished we had allowed more time there.

Situated in Massiac, 42 km from Col d'Entremont, la Ferme de Vazerat features accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The property has garden views. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere, greeted by owner on arrival and immediately became relaxed after a long drive . Beautiful pool to relax the body and fantastic local wine and juice to regenerate the soul .. platter highly recommend rather than going into village as all local produce used and well explained. Don’t think twice if you’re lucky to get a room .. book it !!

Set in Chezelle, Chateau de Montchoisy offers accommodation with a hot tub and an open-air bath. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The guest house has family rooms. We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and views of inner courtyard, Le Grenier à Blé is a guest house situated in a historic building in Satillieu, 48 km from Valence Parc Expo. What a absolute gem! Would go there again and again! Felt special and enjoyed the lovely brekfast!

Set in Lapeyrouse, in a historic building, 31 km from Athanor Centre de Congrès, Château de Bruges is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and garden. A wonderful Chateau in Central France run by a most welcoming and hospitable family, Graham, Jake and Danielle. The rooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed a delicious family dinner prepared by Graham. This was one of best overnight stays on our 6 week tour around France. The breakfast was delicious, highlighting local produce. Overall, I cannot praise this B&B highly enough. We whole heartedly recommend this establishment and hope to return one day in the future.
