In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. The room was spacious and had a very good view of a small stream. The amenities were excellent. The bathroom fittings are exceptional and modern which are not a common sighting in Europe. The place is at walking distance from the railway station and the main market area. The host, Ian, is very friendly.

Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck - E.V friendly provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 5.5 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 36 km of Derwentwater Lake. Beautiful location, really cute kitchen, spacious bedroom, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Spa isn't on site but only 5 mins drive away. Great pool and sauna.

Hapimag Burnside Park Apartments is a luxury self-catering property. The accommodation is notable for its prime location in Bowness on Windermere, right at the heart of the English Lake District. The apartment was super spacious and very comfortable.

The Old Vicarage offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 10 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 17 km of Lake Windermere. A very warm welcome into a stunning period building. Ample parking right outside. Very spacious room, with comfortable bed and sofa. The bathroom is also spacious and well equipped with a bath and separate shower. The toiletries were lovely. A good sized mini fridge was a bonus, alongside a good TV. The pre order breakfast option delivered to your room worked great, especially travelling with our dog! Hotel very walkable to local pubs and eateries. Would recommend for a stay in Ambleside.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. The lounge area was used a lot as our family got together and had wine and nibbles and played games. The bedrooms were beautiful. Bonnie was helpful and friendly. Location was great. Breakfast was good.

The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club is located on the shore of Lake Windermere at Waterhead, which is a short walk from the village of Ambleside. Well decorated , cozy , clean , close by to the lakeside and restaurants . They entertained our later checkout at 11am

The Manager at the hotel, Mrs. Simona was extra helpful by way of arranging our late check-in. The hotel is beautiful - old charm and stylish. The service provided by the helpful couple during our breakfast was great.
