Just brilliant. Super friendly staff, great in room facilities. Right there at Ambleside town centre. Great views from the room. Perfect place to go and visit for 3-4 days and snooze off from the bustling city life.

Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck - E.V friendly provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 5.5 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 36 km of Derwentwater Lake. Beautiful location, really cute kitchen, spacious bedroom, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Spa isn't on site but only 5 mins drive away. Great pool and sauna.

The Old Vicarage offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 10 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 17 km of Lake Windermere. We had stayed there before re 14 years ago. It did not disappoint. Very comfy relaxed place in ideal location. Very friendly staff ( they did washing for us at no cost) and wonderful breakfasts. They are happy for you to bring take away meals in and provide plates etc. lovely atmosphere in a historic setting.

The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club is located on the shore of Lake Windermere at Waterhead, which is a short walk from the village of Ambleside. I absolutely love how spacious the apartment was + huge plus for the two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. The swimming pool was very pleasant and the laundry room with dryers was also very helpful.

Very friendly couple running this place. They had a big smile on their face all the time. Very tasty continental breakfast, including vegan option of yoghurt. Everything was organic. We had hot breakfast as well (Full English and Vegan option), very fullfilling. Room was clean and silent. Hotel is 20min walking distance from the Windermere lake.
