It was small but beautiful accomodation in a postcard worthy environment - stunning rolling green hills, sheep and lovely people. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. We loved it!

We had stayed there before re 14 years ago. It did not disappoint. Very comfy relaxed place in ideal location. Very friendly staff ( they did washing for us at no cost) and wonderful breakfasts. They are happy for you to bring take away meals in and provide plates etc. lovely atmosphere in a historic setting.

Very comfortable flat with all the comforts of home. John was great - he provided us with most of the info we needed when we got there, and was responsive to questions. The place is close to everything in Windermere, including the bus that goes to the other towns. I would stay here again any time.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. The lounge area was used a lot as our family got together and had wine and nibbles and played games. The bedrooms were beautiful. Bonnie was helpful and friendly. Location was great. Breakfast was good.
