Situated in Pointe-Noire, 2.2 km from Marigot Beach, TropicAngel ECOLODGE de Charme features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Every moring, we would receive a breakfast service at the chamber. This contained some bread, pastries, jam, yoghurt and juice. Very nice! The location is very nice, in the middle of nature. Also, the houses are very pretty and welcoming. The bed was also very pleasant.

Set in Bouillante, 2.8 km from Plage de Malendure, Rêve Et Alizé offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. Very private. There are 6 bungalows but you really don’t see them. It is only about 800m down to the coastline but the accommodations were in the beautiful jungle. The pool is such a fantastic facility. It was clean and may chairs are in the shade. The outside living on the covered patio was lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances new. Xavier was very approachable and very proud of the property as he and Anne should be. And….there were no mosquitoes (mid-December)

I arrived much earlier than expected. Helpful neighbors let me know that I could wait at the local beach. At the time that I had given during my booking as my arrival time, the host was present and warmly greeted me, showed me the accommodation and handed over the key. The property looks a bit rustic on the outside, however, on the inside it was quite up-to-date. Decent wireless internet. A nice mosquito net like a pop-up tent for over the bed. Full sized refrigerator, 4 pit electric stove, oven, coffee maker, cleaning supplies, etc. I stayed in the smaller accommodation, 1 bedroom, and it has a nice covered porch to sit on with a wonderful view of the ocean, especially at sunset. There is an octagonal pool just a step away that also has a great view of the ocean and it makes a great place from which to watch the sun set. The area is quiet and calm. It's not a touristy place and made a great place to just relax and enjoy the views and nature. The beach is a bit of a walk up and down very steep roads. (25% grade?) If you are fit, it's a good workout. There is a restaurant and further a beach bar. The location makes a nice central point from which to explore the west coast of the island. Enough about the property, over my hosts I cannot say enough kind things. They were so warm, caring and welcoming. In my many travels, I rarely meet such wonderful people. Although I do not speak French, we communicated via Google Translate on my phone. That led to some amusement with mis-translations. However we enjoyed a number of conversations. When the power went out one evening, she came along with lights for me. When I needed to see a doctor, she arranged that for me. I felt well cared for - above and beyond, really. I would gladly stay here again if only for the hosts.
