The room was nice , great bed and pillows, our houskeeper, Sandy, he was just the best, he made our stay more personal&familial by writing letters and making dolls from towls, very careful, all clean always, but in all all the personal of the hotel is veey kind and helpful, the hotel smells good and the breakefast waa the most varied and tasty, maybe the best we ever had, and also the Magnolia restaurant was great, best Salmon I ate. Attractively located in the Genteng district of Surabaya, MORAZEN Surabaya is situated 700 metres from Sharp Bamboo Monument, 400 metres from Submarine Monument and 700 metres from Gubeng Train... The high standard of the hotel stood out by the hotel staff at ALL levels. The room was spotless, and water and bed were great. The view from the 20th floor (room 2010) was goods looking down at the traffic. Similar view from the bar located on the 21st floor. Breakfast and dinner selection were huge, with the dining room making you feel like a VIP. Did not use the pool or excise area. Location to all the places on my bucket list was easy, either walking or taxi.

Located within 31 km of Watu Dodol in Banyuwangi, Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen features accommodation with seating area. Wow. Everything was truly magical. The name is correct— it IS a gem!!! The moment we arrived Erika warmly greeted us with a fresh dragon fruit juice. The room is SO luxurious, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, ever. The gardens are lush, the river is clean and the area is so spiritual and relaxing. We spent so much time at the pool swimming, reading, meditating. The owners are so lovely. Marc taught us many things about Java and about life. We appreciated his conversations. Happy to call them friends. Special shout out to young Rico!!! The chef of the house!! Amazing home cooked meals, the best we’ve had in our trip through Indonesia. Thank you Rico you smashed it and you have a great future ahead.

Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya, Tunjungan Plaza offers accommodation in the business district in Surabaya. The hotel has a conveniently direct access to the Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Mall. Location in the middle of Surabaya city. Really nice place to travel around. Staff are very kind and helpful.

Boasting pool views, Didu's Homestay Bed & Breakfast provides accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace, around 20 km from Watu Dodol. Charming set of small houses with a nice courtyard in the middle for meeting people. It was also possible make your own coffee, etc. It also had a nice pool in the sun which I enjoyed using (but wasn't much used by other guests). Everything in the house worked well, from the air-conditioning to the open shower. Breakfast (available for 35K) was quite nice. Staff arranged to have us taken to the train station, 700 meters away, by car for free, which we appreciated given our suitcases.

Welcoming guests with an outdoor swimming pool, Ascott Waterplace Surabaya is located right in front of Pakuwon Mall which houses convention halls, department stores and various dining outlets. It's near a mall, it's very clean and the staffs are very nice. They communicate everything even though sometimes i think it's not even needed. Was a really great stay overall.
