Residence Porto Ulisse is surrounded by tropical gardens on the west coast of Calabria. It offers a rooftop terrace with bar, a swimming pool and a small hydromassage pool overlooking Tropea and the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast was excellent, varied, from cereals, various yogurts, spreads, egg omelettes, to Italian specialties (nduja sausage, various cheeses) and of course there were also various sweet pies. The location was also great, about 2 km from Tropea. We had a rental car, so we drove to the city every day, because it was also very hot (about 36 degrees). Amazing roof top pool with great views. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face. I also have to praise the owner, who accommodated us and changed our accommodation so that we got an apartment on the 1st floor with a beautiful view of the sea and the town of Tropea.

It is in a quiet location and clean good sized swimming pool with beds and parasols. Our room is clean and the view is beautiful. We went to Scarea beaches and 20 minutes to get by car. We did, in the morning we used the swimming pool, then lunch out to the Scalea beach, After the beach, we cooled down in the pool back again. The air-conditioning was working well, but it was quite cool in the night while we were in August.

Rita and Franco were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. We are both gluten free and they ensured there was tons of options for breakfast. The room was beautiful, comfy and extremely clean. The people are so warm and friendly and the property surrounding it is beautiful. We also don’t speak Italian and so they were so helpful and patient with us whilst we googled translated everything! I couldn’t recommend this place more and would come back in a heartbeat.

The room was new, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The pool and playground were a gamechanger for traveling with kids. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

There is a little pool, a beer garden and lounges to sunbathe, if beaches are not your thing. -The location! Lovely view to the sea -The breakfast was unusual and surprisingly good - the owner makes the most amazing bruschetta with local/home grown products, as well as chia pudding, fruit salads and egg fritters from own chickens - yum! -The coffee is delicious! -The property is very well taken care of - clean and manicured -The room is designed beautifully - is functional and tasteful -Parking spaces available (4-5 inside of the gate) -The outdoor kitchen for exclusive use in one of the rooms -The owner was so kind to wash a load of clothes, hang it out and fold for us - thank you! -WiFi signal in the room and in the kitchen area is great, not sure about the surrounding grounds/beer garden area

The pommegranite tree was full of fruit and although there was a beautiful bowl of fruit full of plums, tangello's oranges etc the amazing hostess opened the window near us and went and picked a pommegranite for us as well .... and a beautiful bunch of grapes off the vine ! She also toasted almonds which were delicious and the croissants filled with choolate and others with cream were mouth watering ... we didn't want to leave !
