Villa Sabolini ligt in de Chianti-streek, tussen Florence en Siena, in een park met uitzicht op de heuvels van het Toscaanse platteland. Beautiful, well kept grounds. Everything was clean and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Love the breakfast!

After a very difficult year, I wanted to find a special place in Italy to spoil me and my partner. I always look for places that will have something a bit special that can elevate our stay from something nice to something extraordinary and Hotel Certosa di Maggiano was not only extraordinary, it was extra extraordinary. The place is stunning, from every angle, totally unique and slightly quirky. The breakfast is excellent, and the restaurant is divine - elegant, very good food and waiters - without feeling overly fussy. The recommendations for things to do in the area brought us to places we would never have found on our own and took us off the tourist trail - including excellent, local restaurants. But like every experience - the thing that made the place truly magic were the people, the staff, they really care about your experience and the hospitality is so genuine and kind. 8 days we will always remember. Highly, highly recommended.

Borgo Grondaie is a large property built out of an old Tuscan farm, just 2 km from the historical centre of Siena. Excellent location if you are travelling by car. Spacious apartments and very nice views all around. Elegantly constructed while preserving the old architecture

Agriturismo San Sano in Gaiole in Chianti biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de tuin, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. This is an excellent guest house. The owners are wonderful. The room is wonderful. And the wine tasting is perfect. I hate Chianti. I love Chianti Classico. You can figure that out when you get there. The drive to the hotel is a bit of fun if you like hill driving and the village is unreal. You cannot miss in San Sano. We will be back with friends. You should, too.
