Villa Athena, a modern 5-star hotel, is located within Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We had a very comfortable room with a small terrace and a view over one of the Temples. The restaurant was excellent both for food and drinks (high quality wines). The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to provide useful travel tips.

The road is not a problem at all by the way. Just like other roads in Sicily.
