Super clean and beautiful house in the heart of Lamu, you are closed to the port and the main street. A few minutes away from the fort. It is super accessible! On top of that the staff is great with a really detailed attention in keeping the rooms tidy every single day and multiple times a day + a chef that cooked us the most delicious dishes + they arrange transport depending on your needs ! The perfect mix to just lay back and enjoy your holidays!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, mountain view and a terrace, Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa is set in Shela. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Authentic Swahili style villa Milele House features a balcony and is situated in Lamu, within just 300 metres of Gallery Baraka and 400 metres of Lamu Museum. We liked the traditional style and especially the small splash pool, to cool off in. The location at the heart of Lamu town was really special.

With sea views, Andavelo House is located in Lamu and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. the atmosphere and the charms of the house was amazing the staff just great everybody and especially Safari was very dedicated and useful

Beautiful location in Shela village, stunning gardens around the hotel and a short walk to Shela Beach which goes on forever. The restaurant at Kijani is amazing, better than Peponi! Definitely have the Kijani Crab Curry!

The place is amazing, and the service is even better. They take great care of you and stay attentive in case you need anything throughout your stay. Special mention to Olivers, Michael, and Jackie :) I’m definitely coming back!

Offering an outdoor pool, garden and a restaurant, Jannat House is located in Lamu Old Town. It is situated a short walk away from the Waterfront and the Main Road. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Everything about Jannat House was awesome. The pool was so nice to cool off in the HOT Lamu climate. Honestly, I dont think we could have survived the heat without the pool. The service was amazing. We felt so welcomed. Like a home away from home. The chef provided an impromptu cooking class to show up how to cook the fish we caught. Carol provided good advice and has a reputation for being a good, honest, and caring manager. There are alot of areas to lounge in the shade. Its quiet but close to everything. When we come back to Lamu, this is the only place we will stay due to our warm, lovely experience. THANK YOU!!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of garden, Baytulkher is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Lamu, 100 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. The location was easy to find and we felt safe moving around in the area after dark. The Queen Deluxe room was great. The staff was caring and attentive. The room was clean. The “balcony” or the open room near bedroom was beautiful, cozy and pleasant to spend time at. There were mosquito nets on the bed. It is obvious that lots of love and effort has been put into restoration of the building.

Situated within 200 metres of 18th Century Swahili House Museum and 200 metres of Lamu Museum, Pwani House - Lamu Seafront features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lamu. We had an amazing stay at Pwani House! Zion was an incredible host — so warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The house itself is a beautiful traditional Swahili home, full of charm and character. We especially loved the balcony and the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunrise from there, with the sea breeze and the sound of the ocean, was absolutely unforgettable. It was the perfect place to relax and soak in the true Lamu atmosphere. Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again!
