Located in Lamu, 200 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Ttunu House offers accommodation with free WiFi, a terrace or a balcony and access to a garden and a year-round outdoor pool. We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

With sea views, Andavelo House is located in Lamu and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. Safari was amazing, both as a guide and a host. He went over and above to help organize activities across the duration of our stay. And the cuisine was wonderful.

Featuring a swimming pool and tropical gardens, Kijani Hotel is situated on the coast of Lamu Island, along the Indian Ocean. The décor comes with natural handmade furniture, lanterns and ornaments. Location right on the water, Swahili decor, great staff and wonderful food. I have come here 5+ times! And I will be back!

The Majlis Resort is located in Lamu with views of the Ras Kitau Bay on Manda Island. Everything!!!! Stunning environment, very quiet and peaceful. They have the best spa and amenities. The sweetest and nicest staff ever, they really made our stay worthwhile

Offering an outdoor pool, garden and a restaurant, Jannat House is located in Lamu Old Town. It is situated a short walk away from the Waterfront and the Main Road. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Jannat house is very very romantic! The house is built in typical Swahili style and it lies in the centre of Lamu. It is super cosy, beautiful, rustic with many beautiful plants around and an amazing small pool in the centre of the house, next to a bar. The highlight (besides romantic style of the house with many balconies and stairs) were the people working there! Caroline and the rest of the staff were amazing! super cool, helpful, constantly around making sure we have everything we need. They also prepare the freshest food and the breakfasts were great. Thank you so so much fot this beautiful experience! They are also well known in Lamu and well conected and can help you with tips on where to go and how to reach it. Great!!
