It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

We have access to a wide range of activities and the hotel is well located, in the center of Shilla and a few minutes by walk from the beach.

Jannat house is very very romantic! The house is built in typical Swahili style and it lies in the centre of Lamu. It is super cosy, beautiful, rustic with many beautiful plants around and an amazing small pool in the centre of the house, next to a bar. The highlight (besides romantic style of the house with many balconies and stairs) were the people working there! Caroline and the rest of the staff were amazing! super cool, helpful, constantly around making sure we have everything we need. They also prepare the freshest food and the breakfasts were great. Thank you so so much fot this beautiful experience! They are also well known in Lamu and well conected and can help you with tips on where to go and how to reach it. Great!! We had an amazing stay at Pwani House! Zion was an incredible host — so warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The house itself is a beautiful traditional Swahili home, full of charm and character. We especially loved the balcony and the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunrise from there, with the sea breeze and the sound of the ocean, was absolutely unforgettable. It was the perfect place to relax and soak in the true Lamu atmosphere. Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again!
