We enjoyed our week long stay at Hazel's. She was easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. The apartment was clean, very comfortable, and we felt at home. Hazel thought of everything to make the place homey and had the kitchen supplies we needed to cook full meals plus a drinking water dispenser. Security was thorough and we felt safe. Some reviewers said they requested to keep your passport but we did not have that problem. They did take a photo of just my passport (since I did the booking) which seems routine with all the places we stayed in Kenya. One note, Hazel only takes cash or Mpesa payment, no credit cards.

There was singing and preaching throughout the night, but this was no fault of the property location. Just be aware of what is happening in town.

We loved our time at Yellowwood House and were so comfortable that we extended our stay for an extra night. The road leading to the property is murram but well-maintained, so small cars can easily make the drive. Mary was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfy. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful yard. Communication was smooth, efficient, and prompt. Already booked another stay. Highly recommend.
