The staff were welcoming and friendly, and helpful and always smiling. The accommodation is excellent air-conditioning great. The swimming pool was good and cooling after a hot morning and afternoon. The location wasn't too bad, $2 for a tut tut into town. We decided to stay a bit longer and would certainly recommend staying here. We would certainly stay here again, They have 2 lovely friendly dogs

We have stayed at 16 places across Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand and this is the first 10/10. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the bed was large and comfortable. They offer a laundry service and a bike rental service (they call a bike rental nearby but you don't have to pick it up or drop it off - they come to the hostel). However, the highlight of the stay was the food. Home-cooked German food for dinner and breakfast and everything was amazing (if you get to try the schnitzel and cream spinach, do it).

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! The location right next to the canal is peaceful and relaxing — you can hear the water and feel the breeze all day. The dorm is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is perfect for meeting other travelers. Great value for the price and a lovely place to unwind. Would definitely stay again!

Located in Kampot, 6.6 km from Kampot Pagoda, The Step Hotel kampot provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Great boutique hotel on the outskirts of town. The couple who run the place are super helpful and friendly. They organised motorbikes hire and recommended places to visit. There is a group of six rooms that share the main pool area with plenty of sun loungers, tables and a small bar too. We stayed in one of the two rooms that are slightly separate from the main area. These two rooms share a plunge pool and outdoor kitchen area, with lots of pits, pans, utensils, BBQ and even BBQ coal. The rooms are super modern, clean and fresh. Loads of hot water and great linen. The location is rural but close enough to the main city centre. It's easy to get a ride into town using the Grab app, takes around ten minutes and costs about $1.50. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with Stephan and Julie and wish them the best with their new business and hard work

The property was in such a beautiful & relaxing setting. The staff were so welcoming and kind. The bungalow was very comfortable, lovely bed and an amazing view from the balcony. The food was also very tasty & you can have it in your bungalow or at the restaurant. Perfect spot to unwind for a few days, just wish we could have stayed longer!
