Our kids loved the pool, especially with the inflatable toys provided. The resort also treated us with free afternoon snacks and complimentary bottled water every day. The attention to detail and family-friendly atmosphere made it a memorable stay. We highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing beach getaway! The even let us stay in the room for free until the evening before our flight.

An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like a little slice of paradise. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were gorgeous – spacious, clean, and with such a lovely rustic vibe that really makes you feel close to nature. Waking up to those views was just amazing. We loved how many activities there were to choose from. Kitesurfing was a definite highlight – the instructors were fantastic and made the whole experience so much fun. The yoga classes were also such a great way to relax and unwind after an active day. And the food – wow! Every meal was packed with fresh, local ingredients and full of flavor. They were so accommodating with dietary preferences too, which made everything so easy. What really stood out to us was how much they care about sustainability and supporting the local community. It’s not just a beautiful place to stay; it feels like you’re part of something meaningful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing, and adventure-filled getaway, we can’t recommend Anawasal enough!

We had the best time staying at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The property is located about 5 - 10 minutes from the Wilpattu park entrance which not only means you can easily book a safari but you also experience some incredible wild life just steps outside your door. We cannot praise the staff enough. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and so accommodating. It’s very clear that the folks at Wild Wadi are very passionate about animals, the environment and sharing all of their knowledge with their guests. We had breakfast and dinner at Wild Wadi each night. We had traditional Sri Lankan meals and it was some of the best food we had so far on our trip. We would highly recommend booking at Wild Wadi if you are visiting Wilpattu - such an incredible experience! We will be back!
