The food was wonderful and the seafood was lovely and fresh! The hotel is in a stunning setting and our room was beautiful with great views of the beach which was on our doorstep. Would definitely stay again!

Everything, very relaxed, very clean, great food and coffee plus and not least, the staff were very welcoming and the pool was lovely. The manager organised a snorkelling trip to Pigeon Island to swim with the turtles and reef sharks. The guide he provided was excellent. A tuc tuc driver was organised to take us onwards to Trimcomalee and we happily agreed for him to take us all the way to Polloanwara which was much appreciated and a good fair price. Thank you to all Team Bella for making our stay so memorable.

El Calamander Bay Resort se encuentra a 5 km al norte de Trincomalee, en la hermosa costa este de Sri Lanka. Cuenta con piscina al aire libre, centro de spa y bienestar y conexión WiFi gratuita. It’s tranquility, it’s luxury, it’s staff, don’t have enough words for how much we loved this place but it was heaven. The view from our room was stunning, coconut forest with abundance of wildlife and eagles soaring above. The room itself was excellent. The food in the restaurant was class and I can’t thank the staff enough they all made our stay memorable.

We visited this new establishment recently and were very impressed. The staff were courteous, professional, and attentive, making the experience very pleasant. The food was delicious and served fresh. Will definitely visit again.

A gorgeous sanctuary in a quiet area. A short walk or tuktuk ride to beach and restaurants, but very quiet and relaxing. Clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. The owner is a very friendly and interesting guy. He can arrange anything for you and tell you stories about his life. There was great internet access and every room has a balcony with table and chairs if you are working online or just enjoying a quiet sunset. The pool was clean and brand new. Every room had a kettle and small fridge for snacks if you don’t want to eat out every meal. Breakfast was great and made fresh every day. More food than you could ever finish! When they open their restaurant, I’m sure it will be great, too.

El lugar es impresionante y muy bonito. Muy buen lugar si quieres alojarte en la zona de Nilaveli Beach, ya que está muy próximo a la playa.

Secluded, far from the city. We were a bit worried it is far from city center but ended up staying on the property for whole 3 days without leaving at all. Amazing room, private empty beach. Building is beautiful, spacious and very well designed. Your eyes will be resting wherever you look. Staff is super attentive and takes care of anything sometimes before you know you want it. The food is delicious, pricy compared to Sri Lanka but definitely worth the value. Mutton biriyani was out of this world. We were in a low season and there was only 6-10 guests in the hotel. Altogether about 15 rooms on the property. Wake up early to catch the sunrise! Worth every rupee
