Well designed and well fitted out property in an incredible location on the beach. The relaxed surf vibe was perfect. Great breakfasts overlooking the sea and the perfect spot for sundowners. Owners and staff were fab. Highly recommend.

Very clean spacious and comfortable. It’s a beautiful luxurious hostel. Breakfast is very good with generous portions. The pool and the sun beds are perfect to relaxe. It’s a 2 min walk from the beach and 20min walk from the beginners bay surf spot. I totally recommend:)

Great location right across from a beautiful park. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything was wonderful.

Family run business with a big heart and full engagement of all family members. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and hot chocolate. Beautiful location with big garden and view on the lake. Beds are comfortable and it’s very clean. Calm and great place to take rest.

Gorgeous and well taken care of. This place is aptly named. I liked that there were people from around the world but it isn’t a giant business. Very intimate.

Com vista para a piscina, Banana Tree Popoyo fornece acomodação, piscina ao ar livre, jardim, área de praia privativa e terraço em Popoyo. Banana Tree is a gem and is now my go-to spot in Popoyo. This is a newer property compared to many in the area, and I also find it to be a better value than some of the other options. The bungalows are VERY well-stocked; I’ve been coming to Nicaragua for many years, and I’ve seldom seen a kitchen so well appointed. They had everything you would need to cook a great meal—even a blender for the fresh fruit nearby! I can tell the host cares, because he goes out of his way to stock Agua Roca water (the best in Nica). The pool and facilities are top notch. And it’s also QUIET. This isn’t some party vibe, and you can relax with a book by the pool all day. It’s also a stones throw from the beach and a bunch of restaurants. And there are two small stores within walking distance. The host, Aaron, is incredibly friendly and quickly helped me out whenever I needed anything. And YES, they do have actual banana trees with the most amazing bananas you’ll ever have!
