Gorgeous estate in the Dutch countryside, 1.5 hours by car from Amsterdam. The rate itself includes half board and you dine at a 1 Michelin star restaurant (excellent food!). We traveled with our 5 year old and really enjoyed our stay. The gardens, heated outdoor swimming pool and our room was great. We had the deluxe room overlooking the front lawn of the estate. It included a small sitting area and a generously sized, modern bathroom. Once you make your reservation, the property informs you that children are not permitted to watch/use phones or their tablet in the dining room, but they could watch it in the salon next to it. I was a bit concerned at first, as how can I expect a 5 year old to sit through 3 nights of 4 course meals? But the dining room is lively, so you don’t have to whisper and the salon has glass windows so you can watch your child if they go there while you eat. The reception team was great, helped us book e bikes and horse riding lessons.

Very well appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable. In a beautiful location with easy access to good roads and a railway station with secure carpark, allowing us a daytrip on the train to Amsterdam shopping and sightseeing. There is a good bar and restaurant on site which we took advantage of during our stay. Careen and Justin the property owners had left lots of little treats which were much appreciated.
