The main thing is they're the first hotel of many on our journey to serve real scrambled eggs. The hotel is super inviting, the small seating areas are super cozy, making you want to actually use them, compared to most other hotels where they feel like an afterthought. The breakfast was super nice, felt fresh and high quality, and they had a nice selection of different things, something for every taste. The staff was super nice and welcoming, the room was clean and felt well thought out, and the bathroom looked modern. Overall a very cozy stay. We did however not use the pool or eat dinner there, so I can't speak of the quality of that.

This property lies right by the foot of Hallingskarvet National Park, 4 km from central Geilo. Ski lifts are just 50 metres away from the self-catering apartments. It was a big property as we were 10 people and there was lot of space including multiple toilets which makes it very convenient.

Overlooking the Tisleifjord, Oset Fjellhotell is 1.5 km from Golsfjellet Ski Centre. It offers traditional Norwegian cuisine as well as a kids playroom, gym and indoor pool. Wi-Fi is free in all... Generous breakfast with wide selection. Can't miss with the pancakes and fresh bread. Modern and freshly renovated room with all the comforts for good night sleep and battery recharge when the Norwegian weather gets a bit rougher.

We really loved the cosy cabin in the woods, with a great log burning stove, good kitchen with enough pots/equipment to cook proper meals (we did), and storage for skis outside.
