I loved our stay at Basera Boutique Hotel! Very good location in a calm and safe neighborhood close to ministries. Newari architecture all over the building, including the rooms and the pool. The food at the restaurant was authentic Nepali food, with high quality of raw materials and the opportunity to enjoy cultural nights with Nepali dances. I have to emphasize that the highlight of this hotel is definitely the amazing staff: smiley, always eager to help you (including airport transfer, taxi calling, guide and hiking reservations) and giving their best to make your stay in Kathmandu unforgettable!!!! Of course, in my next trip to Nepal I am going to stay here again! Highly recommended!!!

You really get for what you pay. The staff is very polite and helpful. The accommodation is very luxurious and the bathroom is very clean and you get really hot water in the shower. The location is situated close to the historical center (just a few minutes walk away) so it's a perfect stay for exploring the center. If I had known previously that there is a pool I would have brought my swimming gear.
