Everything was brand new and set up with great care and attention to detail. The hotel rooms are located behind the restaurant, and the lodge is small-scale with only five rooms. All rooms overlook the swimming pool and have their own private terrace. Because of the layout, it truly feels like a little paradise. The bed is very comfortable, and you can really rest and recharge there, which is especially nice when you’re traveling. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere; besides a lovely breakfast, you can also enjoy great dinners and cocktails. And last but not least, the staff are very attentive and make you feel truly pampered.

Villa Coco, in the heart of Santa Catalina, is a luxury boutique hotel and one of the most famous in the small and picturesque town. Villa Coco was simply amazing. The casita was positioned towards the end of the property and had a beautiful view. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was quiet. The restaurant and staff went above and beyond, having breakfast prepared in time for the first dive boat and making a special dessert for us. We could walk to town (1/2 mile) or to the surf beach (1mile) for access to terrific little restaurants, a small market, and of course, the ATM.

Hotel Santa Catalina Panama is set on the beach front, 20 meters from the popular surfing spot of La Punta. This property is a 12 minute walk from Playa Estero, the sandy beach in Santa Catalina. We had a wonderful 10-day stay at Hotel Santa Catalina — beautifully managed and perfectly located right in front of La Punta, with Playa El Estero and the town centre just a short walk away. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with reliable wifi, a safe and mini fridge, plus a lovely patio with two hammocks and chairs to relax in. We really appreciated the free use of surfboards, kayaks, and bikes. The on-site restaurant, Pescao, was excellent, offering stunning ocean views and a fantastic infinity pool. A big thank you to Raphael, Daniel, and Eliana for their warm hospitality and for making our visit so memorable.

I had such a beautiful stay at Manta Project. It truly feels like a hidden gem on the Pacific coast of Panama. From the moment I arrived, the owners and staff made me feel completely at home — warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The room was very well design with elegant touches and comfortable arrangements, with a cozy bed and soft pillows that made it easy to fully relax and rest. You could hear the monkeys and a variety of birds in the morning and throughout the day. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. And the sunsets… simply gorgeous. Watching the sky transform into shades of gold, pink, and deep orange each evening was magical. The night sky was also stunning. The whole experience felt peaceful, intimate, and special. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to disconnect and recharge, this is it. I can’t wait to return.

We had an amazing stay at Timeout Cabañas in Santa Catalina. Perched above a cliff, the hotel offers absolutely stunning sunset views over the ocean – the kind you sit and watch with a cold drink in hand, not wanting the moment to end. The beach is just a short walk down the path, perfect for a quick swim, or you can relax at the beautiful pool with its own pool bar and soak up the atmosphere. The English owner makes everything easy – communication is effortless, and he organized fantastic tours and reliable transfers for us. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a coffee maker and a large fridge – everything you need for a comfortable stay. A big plus: the tap water comes from a well and is safe to drink. All in all, a great hotel with friendly staff, excellent service, and one of the best sunset spots in Santa Catalina. Highly recommended.
