This is a vinyard (they don't make wine on site) and is tucked at the end of a valley, so all views were of the Douro river and wineries. The accommodation is distributed in different buildings and there is beautiful landscaping and outdoor seating, plus a pool looking over the valley. The food is very good (breakfast and dinner). We missed out on a wine tasking - you do need to book - but did our own by the glass on the restaurant terrace. Not really for kids, but for adults, a lovely place. The staff were super friendly and really did make us feel welcome.

Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. The views from the property and our room were breathtaking. The room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the included breakfast, and found the onsite restaurants to be quite good. We loved the indoor pool and also took advantage of the babysitting services. Everything about our stay was wonderful.

Nestled along the Douro River, Douro Hotel Porto Antigo. is housed in a historic building. It features an outdoor swimming pool, in-house massages and a restaurant serving European dishes. The location and views from the hotel are amazing. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming.

Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food menghadap ke Lembah Sungai Douro yang indah. Ia terletak di dalam sebuah rumah desa yang bersejarah dan dikelilingi dengan taman dan ladang anggur. Everything was excellent. The friendly staff, the fantastic dinner where you meet people from all over the world. Lot's of top class local food and almost "unlimited" wine supply from the house was included in the dinner package that you should not miss. Superb! The pool area was very nice and relaxing. You could also take long walks in the wine yards with fantastic views over the Douro valley. The room was very nice. Fantastic old style but gently renovated.
