I'm glad they did as this place helped make our stay in Porto want to come back. the rooms are modern, clean, well thought out and the hotel is really fantastic. lovely rooftop view, staff were warm and welcoming at all times.

We cannot offer enough praise for The Rebello. From the first moment, we received the warmest welcome and the utmost assistance at the front desk. We were helped to our room — an unexpected upgrade to a commanding river view — and introduced to all amenities which encompassed an all-inclusive mini-bar. We paid a visit to the restaurant/bar and were assisted by the most extraordinary Claudia for whom nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were prepared exactly to our liking due to Claudia’s willingness to communicate with the kitchen and the kitchen’s willingness to accommodate us. The next day, breakfast was similarly pleasing. We stayed only one night but that was enough to make us wish we had arrived much earlier. The hotel is a short walk to the dock for Uniworld and other river boats. Staff even offered to take our bags there for us! We love you guys at the Rebello!

Great quiet location with easy walk to nearby grocery store, restaurants and bus/tram stop. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay in Smiling Places. The hosts, Elisabete and Fernando, are charming (completely mad, but in a nice way). They have worked so hard to make their house confortable for their guests. If anything is not to your liking, tell them and they will do their best to put it right. Breakfast was delicious and copious. There are several good restaurants nearby.
