Wonderful accommodations, exceptional dinners...fresh local ingredients, absolutely delicious Slovenian dishes prepared perfectly! Had a really thoughtful conversation with the owner about the history of the area, who was able to share perspectives of Slovenians who stayed in the region after WWII. (My family emigrated from a neighboring town to the US after the war) After visiting this gorgeous place, it was easy to see why my grandfather missed his homeland so much.

The guest house is situated in a charming village surrounded by nature. Our room was cozy, with a warm wooden ambiance. We also had a couple of friendly spiders sharing the space with us, guarding us from any unwelcome mosquitoes. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and the dinner they offered was truly unique. We highly recommend trying the real truffle pasta! It was definitely a charming stay with its own story to tell. The dogs, the terrace, the views, and the pool—everything was absolutely lovely. A perfect summer getaway!

Hotel Balnea Superior is located in the magnificent surroundings of Dolenjske Toplice, offering great wellness services and cosy, airy rooms. Great art hotel, clean and tidy, with a very good selection of tasty breakfast and dinner. The spa is nice and not too crowdy, and the pool is great to relax and enjoy different water massaging areas. It is next to a park, and 5 minutes away from the forrest with a hiking trail next to the river. A great choice for a family with kids, looking for a calm weekend getaway.

On a small island surrounded by the Krka River lies the rebuilt Otocec Castle Hotel, offering a perfect atmosphere for weddings, parties and business meetings. The most stunning views, such a privileged location. The staff are very welcoming, they made every detail of our stay special. The food was incredible, there are not enough words to describe! Congratulations to the chef!!

Hotel Kristal is interconnected with an underground passage that leads to the indoor pools. The front desk staff are THE BEST! They helped me with a million questions, were so kind and welcoming every time I stopped by, and we're just overall some of the best, most welcoming hotel staff I've ever interacted with! The hotel itself has lovely old charm and is ornate and gorgeous, but the rooms are still modern and updated. I was in a room by the elevator but didn't even notice the noise. I had a delightful view onto the courtyard. The spa and wellness area is fantastic with many different options, both for pools and for services. I was able to book 2 services at the last minute, and they were lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. A great buffet with a variety of selections. I was just sad I'm not very hungry in the mornings so I couldn't eat more.

Situated in Primostek, MAGNOLIA HOUSE by the RIVER BB features accommodation with spa facilities, beauty services and a public bath. Very nice mobile house in the nature. Very comfortable and in front of river Kolpa. Relaxing and quite. We will definitely come back again.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a heated pool, garden view and a patio, Holiday House Sunset Spa is situated in Šentjernej. This ia a holiday house. It has all required facilities and more (pool, jaccuzi, sauna) and more, all in excellent shape. Breakfast was superb. And Slavco the owner was so nice and kind. Location is out in country, very peaceful and quiet.
