Had a really thoughtful conversation with the owner about the history of the area, who was able to share perspectives of Slovenians who stayed in the region after WWII. (My family emigrated from a neighboring town to the US after the war) After visiting this gorgeous place, it was easy to see why my grandfather missed his homeland so much.

O Hotel Kristal está conectado com uma passagem subterrânea que leva às piscinas cobertas. The front desk staff are THE BEST! They helped me with a million questions, were so kind and welcoming every time I stopped by, and we're just overall some of the best, most welcoming hotel staff I've ever interacted with! The hotel itself has lovely old charm and is ornate and gorgeous, but the rooms are still modern and updated. I was in a room by the elevator but didn't even notice the noise. I had a delightful view onto the courtyard. The spa and wellness area is fantastic with many different options, both for pools and for services. I was able to book 2 services at the last minute, and they were lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. A great buffet with a variety of selections. I was just sad I'm not very hungry in the mornings so I couldn't eat more.

The location is ideal, offering both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. We enjoyed exploring the area, but always looked forward to returning to this oasis of comfort and luxury.
