The property is located at the edge of Ndangane. Because there are no other properties between theirs and the Sine-Saloum Delta we noticed more wild birds here than anywhere else in Ndangane. The accomodation is exceptional and our room was lovely - great shower as well. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Main Street / jetty. We must not forget the most important person, Marie-Augustine. We had read about this lady in other reviews and they were correct. What a lovely, kind person. Nothing is too much trouble. We asked if we could meet a local family and Marie-Augustine organised this. We learnt more about local life and had a meal with the family. What a fantastic day. If we ever venture here again we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Last but not least Vincent & Nicolas also made us feel welcome at Campement Houefa.

He is helpful and kind and goes the extra mile for all of his guests. He met us at the highway when our Google maps filed us and later escorted us to the beach for a pirogue trip. Also the breakfast was more varied than anyplace else.

Absolutely loved La Teranga. Ibou could not have been more helpful and his communication is excellent. The chef is outstanding, the room spotless and the security man always around. A wide selection of trips are available. The village is local and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend a visit to anyone wanting an adventure in this fabulous part of Senegal.

Very warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful. Very comfy beds. Nice pool. Delicious food. They tried to help us with everything. The staff were very friendly. They arranged a boat trip for us at a very fair price, during which we saw the impressive mangroves and visited isolated villages, such as Falia. It is very well located, easily accessible, and close to Djiffer, which is really fun to see around 5 PM when the fishing boats return. Conclusion: an absolute must if you want to stay near Djiffer!

Laurette served up a three-course luxury dinner that was simply divine. Christophe prepared the best breakfast I’ve had anywhere in Africa. The rooms are spotless, with tasteful decor and thoughtful touches throughout. Everything is maintained to the highest standard, reflecting a clear passion for hospitality. Villa Kounzo also helps you make the most of your time—they recommend great daytime activities and are happy to order excellent takeaway meals from nearby restaurants if you're staying in for the evening. The on-site bar is another highlight, offering cold, reasonably priced drinks including soft drinks, beer, and wine—a perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring. Villa Kounzo is far more than just a place to stay—it’s a haven of comfort, great food, and genuine hospitality where you feel like home. I left feeling completely recharged and already planning my return. Highly recommended!

Extremely peaceful setting, rooms are equipped with the necessary amenities. Air conditioning works and is cold. Staff were friendly, super helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. We felt so well taken care of. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Every smile, every gesture, every detail was just perfect. You truly feel at home—cherished, respected, and loved. The service was flawless, the food delicious, the atmosphere peaceful… and that endless beach… a waking dream! I leave with a light heart and only one wish: to return.
