What an amazing, unique boutique hotel. Absolutely beautiful and we had a fabulous stay. A former government official's residence in years gone by, the hotel and room we stayed in was set around an inner courtyard. The decor is stunningly beautiful, traditional, light and airy, with quirky art on the walls and small uruguayan wooden sculptures dotted around and in every room. The breakfast room is a lovely space to relax in each morning and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The bed was large and very comfortable. The staff are very professional and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect - a 3 minute walk to the old town and to the sea one way, and the same distance to Av. General Flores, one of the main streets in Colonia. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops on its doorstep. Guests can make use of a swimming pool on a Finca in the countryside which is around 10km away and free transport is provided for this. This experience was one of the highlights of our stay - it was unforgettable!!

Offering a shared lounge and garden view, Finca del Sacramento is set in Colonia del Sacramento, 2.3 km from La Arenisca Beach and 9.2 km from Gateway of the Citadel Colonia. There was an issue we had with a booking excursion, and even though it wasn't the Finca Del Sacremento's fault, they made it right for us. The wine tasting and lunch experience was excellent as well, everyone was super nice and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.

This is a beautiful property just a few minutes drive away from the old town / central Colonia. We absolutely loved the beautiful grounds, the adorable suites, and the cozy atmosphere of the property. Breakfast was lovely.

The room was tastefully designed, spacious, and well equipped. The setting was serene and relaxing. We loved being located on the vineyard and able to walk the grounds. The provided bicycles were great so we could explore Carmelo a little more. All the staff and El Legado family members we super warm, friendly, and kind. We would make another trip to Uruguay just to visit El Legado! We had such an amazing time. Thank you!!
