Located at the Paul Kruger Gate to the Kruger National Park, Kruger Gate Hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River. Our experience at Kruger Gate Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property itself is stunning, beautifully designed and impeccably clean throughout. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering far more than we needed, especially since we spent most of our time out on safari. We used the gym, which was a great amenity, though we did miss having a spinning bike, would’ve loved that! My husband and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (we originally booked 3 nights and decided to extended 1 more) and honestly, we wish we had booked an extra day just to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The food was excellent every night, with a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, buffet-style, so we got to try something new each evening. The staff were truly exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. A special mention to our waiter: Excellent, yes, that’s his name! :) who remembered our names and our usual drinks, making every dinner feel personalized and welcoming. The reception team was also fantastic, both in person and via the WhatsApp concierge line. The game drives, organized with an external provider, were also a highlight. Everything was well-coordinated, from timing to the packed breakfasts that were ready for us each morning. All in all, we highly recommend Kruger Gate Hotel

Set just 9 km from Mbombela Stadium, Willow Inn provides accommodation in Nelspruit with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a housekeeping service. Butiful place with great hart, definitly i can recommend for stay.

Featuring a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and garden views, Spies Villa - Fast Wi-fi, Netflix, DSTV, Solar, Certified Water System is located in Middelburg. This was a peaceful and secure place to stopover as we didn't want to drive all the way back to Joburg before our departing flight. Huge room, huge and lovely bathroom with shower and giant clawfoot tub, large and well maintained yard. We are birders and enjoyed seeing all of the birds coming and going from the birdbaths and mature trees in the backyard. There were even some Hadada Ibis nesting in one of the trees.

Boasting a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and garden views, Haus Eleven is located in Piet Retief. This guest house provides free private parking and a housekeeping service. Everything was perfect. I don’t understand the negative reviews. After a long day of driving we found our charming rooms spotlessly clean with secure gated parking, gorgeous bedlinen, fabulous bathroom, awesome shower and a beautiful, peaceful garden. Staff were delightful and the self checkin after 5pm utterly painless and easy with excellent comms. Delicious cooked breakfast was an unexpected bonus.

Set in Thulamahashi, 45 km from Orpen Gate, Nyamankulu Guest Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Everything from the hospitality to the food,constant check ups from the staff to cleaning of the room for the days we were there.

Featuring accommodation with a private pool, pool view and a patio, EDJAMI Guest House is located in Marloth Park. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Lovely well laid out and well equipped property. Really relaxing feel about the whole place. Views at the end of the driveway overlooking the Crocodile river into the KNP. Lovely attentive staff and interaction with Michelle the owner always good and on hand. Very highly recommended to all that love the true African way of life. Also on the plus side the property is only 15 mins from Crocodile Bridge the entrance to the Kruger Park.

Featuring garden views, Ungava Retreat offers accommodation with an open-air bath and a patio, around 38 km from Crocodile Bridge. Great Location, wonderful bush retreat, great coffee provided, very stylish and peaceful.

11 km from Mbombela Stadium, Sleep Haven Self-Catering Accommodation - Nelspruit is a recently renovated property set in Nelspruit and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Location in a very quiet place, surrounded by nature and specious cleanest facility. The host was friendly and helpful and customer centric. I will definitely revisit this facility.

Located just 21 km from Mbombela Stadium, Ambience Inn offers accommodation in White River with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as luggage storage space. I loved the long drive and the outdoors. Its a pity it rained a lot when I was there and so did not experience the garden the way I would have wanted. Provided the place the available next time, I'm definitely making a booking there. It was awesome and the breakfast was cherry on top
