Excellent location and safe neighborhood and street to wonder around. The view from the room is also incredible. Although it is not sea view, we love to see lion’s head as the frost sight when waking up. It also has a good co-working space if you need to do some work during the trip.

Van der Stel Manor is situated in a residential area, 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The restored Cape Dutch home features a garden and outdoor pool. Lovely stay in a quiet, peaceful area. The room was clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden and the excellent breakfast. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was great as was the location and facilities although I did not get to experience much. Checked in, in the afternoon and left for a function at 18h00. Back at midnight and out before 10h00. Rates are on the less affordable side for the standard South African, although I do understand this is peak season.
