Zonda was an amazing town to stay in, right in the middle of wine country! The people were very kind and welcoming. The wine was very good as well! The Fernandez Mercado store in the town was an awesome place to shop at. They had a kind lady there that could speak English which was awesome since I can't speak any Spanish.

Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life.

Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life. You need to have a car to move around. Not to be missed the observatory for star gazing and the wind carts in Pampa de Leoncito with Familia Toro. Also, if you are a horse lover do look for Mr Carlos Villaroel. He has a great herd of horses that are used to go up in the Andes. He is an experienced and friendly guide with a family tradition of horsemanship. Alto Barreal by the main square (a little bit hidden but worth looking for it) is the place for "picadas" or assortment of cold cuts and cheese.
