Fantastic views, location, atmosphere, service and staff!! We had a room with a view to the lake and it was amazing to wake up and see it every morning or relax on the terrace at the end of the day. The location is top - 7 min from the center and the lake promenade, so a pleasure to walk out for dinner but tucked away from the town noise. The lift and bus stop are also a minute away. The summer card is a big plus. The rooms are cosy, clean, every detail is well thought of and comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, nutritious and delicious! The chef remembered our choice and made sure we got the kind of omelette we liked. Elena came to welcome us in our own language the first day and was kind company every morning. Lilly was gentle and delicate and quietly made sure to remember our coffee choices and made sure we didn’t have to ask. By the fifth day we noticed the lively and homey atmosphere spread even between the guests. In the evening the pool was wonderful for me and the sauna really hot, I appreciated it after a long day on the mountains. And finally, our hosts Elisabeth and Stefan - so welcoming, efficient and kind!! My communication with Elisabeth was like I was connected to the lamp gene from the Aladdin fairy tale! The moment I touched the chat screen with a question or a request Elisabeth would magically appear like a gene and sort it for me! I don’t think i have seen anyone so easygoing, open and hardworking at the same time! I can imagine why many of their staff had been with them for 15+ years and why guests love them. So many things made us feel warm and relaxed, at home! Thank you!

We stayed in a family suite which was clean, modern, great size room (given we had 2 children too) and very much to our taste. The food varied every night and replenished quickly. The facilities for Children are fantastic and even after hours of skiing all they wanted to do was play in the football area, ball pit or indoor play. Outdoor pool temperature was a great surprise, VERY warm and just what we needed after a days skiing. Ski room with dedicated locker to leave all the gear. Staff were friendly and approachable throughout our stay.

We liked the size of the room, the separate beds in the children's room, the big balcony and the amazing view from the balcony. Also, we liked the complimentary drinks, coffee and tea and the family cozy lobby area where you can relax for a while with a good book. Special thanks to the friendly receptionist, who put our stuff in their fridge at the reception, since the room had none.

If u like som old history and buildings zell am see is the place for u. Even if u dont enjoy the old part of town, there is new exiting places to go to. The pepole in zell am see is wonderfull and kind.

Still not yet stayed in the hotel I can put my comment after 25th of October 25 But so far mounting, Hotel Lewis in kaprun is corporate very nice. I looking forward to stay in this hotel & hope meet my satisfaction

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare.

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare. Don't expect modern but this adds to the charm of the place. Property was well equipped with everything that we needed. Easy parking and access to the building. All conveniences close by or a short drive away. Stunning views from the balcony and all round great place to stay.

Great for family vacation.

Great for family vacation. Lot of playgrounds and other attractions. Free public transport for guests. We visit (with great success): - Schmidolin’s Adventure World on Schittenhöhe, - Wildpark Ferleiten, - Grossglockner High Alpine Road, and a bit further away: - Krimmel Watterfalls, - Slide Path in the Wildkogel, - Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein.

Wram , welcoming and relaxed. Atmosphere of adventure and history. Other residents very friendly. Breakfast exceptional- and we have travelled a lot around Europe- one of the best. Fresh and tasty evening meal with something for all tastes ¹on the menu. Perfect location for the pass .

Beautiful lake with a nice 11 km path around it, we had very good early December weather, this might not be the experience of everybody. The city of Zell am See is very small, only two proper grocery stores, two tiny Christmas markets. With the addition of busses (free of charge with the mandatory tourist pass) one can get around the city and neighboring area easily provided you take the trouble of scheduling. There were lots of restaurants with fairly priced offerings, although we did not dine in the city. We did not take this opportunity to go skiing in the mountains, in hindsight this was a mistake.

Everything was excellent — the staff were super friendly, the food was delicious, and both breakfast and dinner were served as a well-organized buffet. The place was clean with breathtaking views. A place with beautiful views and easy access from the main road, close to ski slopes, but you need a car to get there. Breakfast was in the room, but dinner was out at diverse restaurants. You can eat at a local restaurant, very friendly and good food or in Zell am See where we found a lot of different types of restaurants. Piesendorf is easy to walk through and this is one part that I liked that you can walk even during the winter time in fresh air and you can stop at the café/bakery for a cake and a coffee and enjoy the local little village atmosphere. it was great! During the day you can ski, walk or just seat in the cafe. Its great!

We choose Alp Haus because of its location at the start of...

We choose Alp Haus because of its location at the start of the Grossglockner Road. The property has plenty of secure parking and like us the owners have classic Volkswagens so we felt that they understood our needs perfectly. The house itself is a tradiional building with flowers on the balconies and a large garden. The flat was very spacious and the views of mountains all around are stunning. There are so many things to do and see within an hours drive and all of the scenery along the way is breathtaking. One of the highlights was driving the car to Bad Fusch which was reccomeneded by the owners. We just didnt have enough time to do everything so we will be coming back next year for a longer stay! We wouls also like to thank Nikki and Danny for being such attentive hosts and making such good suggestions.

We were on a driving holiday visiting the high alpine passes...

We were on a driving holiday visiting the high alpine passes. The Grossglockner road tool booth is five minutes away and opens at 5:30am; we left the hotel at 5:25am and were there as it opened. The hotel was welcoming, clean and as advertised. We ate at the hotel, having been up to the Edelweißspitze (the toll is reduced after 6pm, so we arrived and went up before dinner). Some rooms overlook the main road, so you might want to request a room on the other side of the hotel if the noise of the occasional vehicle bothers you.
