We(5 older women) visited Geelong for 2 days.
We(5 older women) visited Geelong for 2 days. We took Vline to reach the accommodation. Visited Botanical gardens & water front. Botanical gardens need some work as some areas were neglected but worth the visit. Waterfront was excellent & loved the view, semicircle walk way in the water, seating area etc We went to Westfield shopping centre to cafe & Coles. This shopping centre has variety of shops. I will visit Geelong again for couple of days when I get a chanceGuest review bySivaAustralia - 10.0
This is why I come out to smaller coastal towns!
This is why I come out to smaller coastal towns! with a beautiful selection of quality food, good vegatarian options, yummy alcohol-free drinks too.. So much to see and do, I prefer to stay at the local Barwon Heads Hotel when i see a show there - better than city venues - better staff - better crowds... just better all round.Guest review byKathrynAustralia - 10.0

It's a great little coastal town plenty to see and do, full of history you have the great walking tracks, the historical fort, the ferry boat to take you across the water to Sorrento. Great little place to spend time at.Guest review byjohnAustralia - 10.0

If you like the beach within a walking distance of the shops and a short drive to Geelong then Ocean Grove would suit perfectly. Perfect location when anrriving off the Spirit of Tasmania away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Plenty of little cafes, parks, supermarket all central and only a short drive to bigger stores.Guest review byKatrinaAustralia - 10.0

Ideal location for the event we attended, at Campbell Point House, and visits to local villages. The Bungalow Cafe in nearby Drysdale was a real find for brunch. The Spike Bar at the golf club in Curlewis is worth a visit just for the atmosphere and view; the beverage list and tasty, value for money snacks are a bonus.Guest review byJaneAustralia - 6.0

Motel was right on the Princes Hwy, so traffic noise was evident at night. A lot of trucks entered and left the nearby Refinery, close to the back entrance to the motel. This is not the ideal location for a motel, set amongst a number of industrial sites.Guest review byRossAustralia - 8.0

Although it is a quiet rural area, this accommodation is ideally located for visits to the Surf Coast, Geelong itself, or the Bellarine Peninsula. The nearest hotel is only minutes away in Waurn Ponds, and the meal we had there was delicious.Guest review byEricAustralia - 10.0

It is interesting to see both the open ocean and inside Port Phillip heads, both geographically and historically. The Lighthouse is well kept and safe to explore. Nice quiet location which can be used as a base for Queenscliff and further along the Great Ocean Road. This unit was perfect for a stay of up to a week because one can self-cater, park safely, and also be quiet and peaceful.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Geelong has plenty to see and do in the city itself but is also a good spot to base yourself with easy drives to places like Queenscliff, Port Arlington, the You Yangs national park etc. Eastern beach is a great place to either take a swim or just to stroll along the beach to Cunnington Pier etc.Guest review bySharonAustralia
