They were currently in a handover to become the owners and hearing their plans and vision for the place, once they're in full swing it sounds like it'll be a must-stop place on the way to Swan Hill and Lake Tyrrell.

We had everything we needed after a long day on the road: a comfy bed, al hot shower, a silently working AC and a fridge.Additionally we had a fully equipped kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave and stove top that we could cook our own meals. Everything was nice and clean and spacious for 2 people. Staff was very friendly, understanding and helpful.
Cockatoos inhabted the place and were not shy, very delightful.

Fantastic location in the beautiful nature. lots of wildlife around the cabin and daily visits from kangaroos etc. The cabin (Treehouse) was nicely designed and decorated with a mix of concrete, wood and a nice color combination. Warm welcome from Janene. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. We would highly recommend the place and will return.

Loved our stay in the red brick cottage. The attention to detail in the making of it made us feel very outback Australian. It was comfortable and clean and relaxing. Also a big fan of our friendly chicken visitors!

Good place for a relaxing holiday, or even a short break.
Good place for a relaxing holiday, or even a short break. Plenty of sights to see and there are many easy walks in the surrounding bush, all well maintained and clearly sign-posted. The local rangers. clearly take pride in their work.
Small but adequate shopping precinct but probably better to take your own supplies with you.
We would recommend a visit to the Halls Gap Zoo which is pretty close to town and very well presented and maintained. with a surprisingly wide variety of animals. If you must have a larger town “fix” Stawell is less than half an hour away.

Everywhere you go in Horsham the people are pleasant and friendly.
It has a lovely feel and the pubs have excellent food. Great variety of places to eat and we were surprised by how high the standard is.

as stated in my review, sealake is a long long way to go if you are just wishing to find some where to stay to see the stars at night at lake tyrell, which i believe is the main attraction for this destination. there is almost no nice accommodation in the area. we booked a whole house run by the hotel, which was basically very, very nice once inside. Its away from the hotel grounds. The main st, Best St, needs some love and lots of it. Jukes cafe opposite the hotel is about the only other business showing a smile. At any time over the two days, there was only two or three people to be seen in the street. The hotel bar and dining room however were full each night. Sealake is such a pretty name and you have to salute the community for rebuilding and running the hotel after it burnt down in 2017. It reopened in 2019

The location was perfect for us, as my husband had to be at the hospital early the next morning for surgery. Being so close made everything much easier and took a lot of stress off us. The accommodation was comfortable and suited our needs for a short stay. It was quiet, convenient, and exactly what we needed at the time.
What we didn’t like:
There wasn’t anything major we didn’t like. Our stay was brief and mainly for hospital access, and for that purpose it met our expectations well.

Very close to the Grampians, if you like hiking and...
Very close to the Grampians, if you like hiking and bushwalking, this is a perfect place to stay for a few days. Our visit was to eat at the Royal mail hotel. The food was excellent and well worth a visit.

Nice motel very clean rooms, friendly staff and close to main town.
Most rooms had outdoor cover for your car, however we did not so was a bit unpleasant when it rained, to get to carried.
Other than that excellent stay.

Lovely town. Friendly people. Dig deep to find special spots of interest. The old Holden museum. The pinball museum played for an hour , certainly bought back memories. The family nights at the pub, raffles were great fun.

Stawell used to be a bright vibrant town,but due to industry leaving it is slowly dying a slow death.
Looks drab and depressing.
So many closed shops drab shop fronts,and empty Main Street makes for no shopping 🛍️ there is none…all hotels closed used to be 5 now only one and a trackside taberet club,with overpriced meals it’s ridiculous.
Arboretum gone, big hill viewing hil a disgrace. So sad it was once so beautiful..
The Cato lake is Stawells only redeeming quality.

Dimboola is a lovely country town with plenty to see and do.
Dimboola is a lovely country town with plenty to see and do. All the locals were friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic meal in the hotel Victoria, would highly recommend that. There are plenty of good walking trails and interesting things to see in the township.
This is the third visit here for us and we will definitely be visiting again.

We went in winters for 3 days.
We went in winters for 3 days. However, weather was not good. Still we managed to see few local things in Halls Gap. Like local community shops and restaurants. Halls Gap is a real hidden Gem in Grampians. We went to Pizzeria, Indian restaurant named Spirit of Punjab, Lilly shop, Coolas ice cream shop. Local bakery and brewery. Also, few look outs only due to wild weather.
We will come again for sure in Summer holidays with kids again.
