Everything I needed was on site- ATM, restaurant, laundry with washing and drying.
Area was very quiet considering there looked to be many workers staying there and a popular pub / restaurant.
Neat and tidy and it was minutes from the vessel berths I was attending. Perfect!

United KingdomNever stayed anywhere this nice in my life. We had just come off of a long bus journey late night and we were more than impressed by the room when we walked in, so clean! The staff were absolutely outstanding, let us order a meal even though their kitchen was about to close (10/10 meal aswell!) and the whole experience was just lovely. You should all be proud of yourselves!

Great space, lovely & clean.
Decent sized bathroom with ample storage. Fully equipped kitchen wth tons of cupboard space (fridge/freezer, microwave, electric frypan, 2 hob plug in cooktop which lives in the cupboard when not in use, pots, bowls, cooking utensils & all the crockery). Seating for 6 at the table, comfortable couch in lounge area, & most importantly...super comfy beds 😊
Great pool & outdoor area. Highly recommend & will definitely book again when we're back in Mackay

The Bluewater swimming park great for the kids
I definitely recommend Eungella National Park at Broken River for a day trip and go to the Enugella Pub what a veiw
We went over Christmas time so a lot of attraction closed but still had other things to go look see

Sarina is a busy town with a big sugar mill, the highway passes through the main street, so it's good to locate accommodation off the highway if possible. Supermarket & good shopping in town. Beaches are nearby & quite pleasant.

Everything is really close and I just loved that my toddlers...
Everything is really close and I just loved that my toddlers could ride their bikes everywhere. I wasn't really prepared with groceries etc so could have brought more as there isn't much around. We purchased fish and chips and pizza for dinner on our overnight stay which was good. But definitely BYO food if you are planning on staying longer. A box of cereal is $9.
I would also go check out the bowls club for a meal when we stay next. Looked like a lot of locals go there for a meal. We didn't swim in the stinger nets this time around as we didn't have stinger suits for the little ones but the splash park was awesome. Not to say - there were lots of other swimming in the nets, the water was just too warm for our liking ( this is the temperature that Irrukanji like). The water depleted in the splash park to ankle depth at 5pm which we thought was to conserve water/ on a timer; Not sure. So that was a little disappointing in summer when you want the pool end to be a little deeper. Overall we stayed in Seaforth for this reason and headed to Cape Hillsborough around the corner to see the kangaroos/ wallabies on the beach the next morning. It's only a 10 min drive, but do go early!! We were a bit late. Go at about 4:15am before sunrise as the wildlife disappear very quickly once the sun comes up.

Eungella is a very special place and it needs to be protected from development and any Hydro scheme. Places like this are sacred and the wildlife is unique, it cannot be spoiled.

Carmila was a stop over on our way north, in the morning we visited the nearby beach, beautiful! Campers and fishers would get much more from the experience than we did.

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.

Our stay was absolutely great.
Our stay was absolutely great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And the ocean view from our balcony was stunning 😍 The food at the restaurant was really good, homemade style. The ladies at the reception and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again and will recommend it anyone 😊

Perfect tranquil location with a quiet beach. Just a 10 minutes drive away from the sunrise wallaby experience if you’re planning to visit this.
Don’t miss the battered Fish and chips from the Pit Stop Cafe! It’s scrumptious and I ate mine on the beach with not a single soul in sight.
