Nice friendly host.. We stayed here for one night. The apartment was very nice with an eye for detail. Everything you need for the short stay was there. Hygienic and very clean. Breakfast was also very good. We loved the jacuzzi!!

The choice to spend the weekend in Chateau d'Hassonville was made by me after thorough research of photos and reviews of different chateaus in Belgium. I wanted something special as a birthday present for my husband. And my expectations didn't let me down. The atmosphere and the setting were very peaceful and romantic. The medieval 17th century castle, the lake and 55 hectares of vast land stir your imagination and senses. Once you get inside you can browse around its endless living-rooms decorated with a slight touch of those times (even the old carpets have a touch of history), walk up the wooden stairs to the rooms (each has its own fleur) or sit in the lounge or on the terrace overlooking the surroundings. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a garden view. It was rather small but very cosy. The colours in the interior were very soft and pleasant to the eye (even the bed cover had a pattern of mint, pale pink and peach that, to tell the truth, are my favourite). The wadrobe was hidden inside the wall in the place that once used to be a window that adds to its charm. There were also two small bottles of water (still and carbonated) which was nice and a jar with port wine for those who like it sweet. The bathroom didn't have a shower, only a bath, but if you want romance what can be better than a bath for two! In the evening we had a three-course dinner (you should book a table in advance) and it was splendid. The service was very good despite the fact that some waitresses don't speak English (only French) but they do their best to make you welcome. The dishes were made to perfection. Even though at first I was slightly disappointed by the fact that they ran out of baby lobster that we had ordered, we got a starter that was not on the menu based on our preferences and it was adorable. And, besides, we got drinks on the owner as a compensation due to that slight inconvenience. And the wine selection is very extensive.

Staff is excellent, very professional, helpful and polite (reception, restaurant, bar....). I have asked for a quiet room and I really got a quiet room (very rare in other hotels that they take this request seriously). Thank you again for this! What a nice surprise, finally a swimming pool that is not ice-cold! The temperature of the water is just perfect even for people with RA! Separated time frame for children that makes possible to relax in the SPA + pool and enjoy the beautiful view. Decoration is top in the hotel. A lot of parking place. Billiard table to enjoy the evening. Bar (+ barmen) is also very nice, prices are reasonable. Super atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

Wonderful stay! The room was spacious and beautiful, with a great shower and an excellent location. The reception staff at Hotel Sanglier were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. Breakfast, as well as check-in and check-out, take place at Hotel Sanglier and were absolutely fantastic. The breakfast offers delicious coffee and a surprising variety of freshly squeezed vegetable juices. You’ll find everything you could possibly crave—and more! Hotel Sanglier also features a lovely wellness area, and massages are available with prior reservation. The massage was wonderful—just like our entire stay. There is also a private parking area available for €25 per night. A big thank-you to all the staff for their dedication and attentive care toward their guests. I highly recommend Hotel Saint-Amour and I would gladly come back here again.

The staff was very friendly, we felt very welcome. The breakfast was delicious as well (fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, bread rolls, mini pastries, etc.) We also enjoyed going swimming, I loved that it was a biological pool and not chloride. Dressing robes were in the room, as well as slippers, which was handy for the pool. We chose to stay for dinner one of our evenings because we knew we'd be tired after a long hike. Food was tasty (my lamb was perfect and my dessert - crème brûlée - was perfect as well). They ask you to choose your dishes before 17h since it's all freshly made. I think that's a great idea. On top of that the people at reception and also waiters could switch effortlessly between languages: French, Dutch, English, all spoken fluently. We had an excellent stay.

Our family stayed in the Chalet-- FYI it is NOT on the same property as the hotel--it is about an hour's drive away from the hotel location. That being said, the Chalet was GORGEOUS and clean and comfortable and truly amazing! We had peace and quiet, and the host stocked the fridge with many delicious breakfast items for each morning. It is absolutely beautiful and we are so pleased that we were able to stay here. It was only a 7-8 minute drive into Malmedy for cafes and groceries etc.

The place was amazing. It was my first time booking a place like this and I didn't expect much. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were great. I rented bedsheets and they were also clean. This is a real gem! Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Durbuy (also a fantastic location)! We all loved it. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, rooms and super views from all 3. Excellent breakfast, which was included in the price. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, the breakfast was delicious, and the hotel itself was beautiful and very comfortable. A special thank you to Liz at the reception — she was absolutely amazing, so warm, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. She truly made our experience even more special. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

Durbuy is a dreamy little medieval town that is easily walkable and also has plenty of parking. We got ice cream from La Gourmandine, bought delicious sandwiches & wine from the very sweet couple at the Italian gourmet shop, Filippo Paoletti, and had a few cold pints at Le Pressoir Durbuy, a cozy, candle-lit pub that lured us inside with their amazingly eclectic playlist.

A little gem of Ardennes with little streets peppered with...

A little gem of Ardennes with little streets peppered with fancy bars, restaurants and shops. Good both for a one-day trip and for a longer stay. Nice nature around, and a paradise for kayaking. Do not miss the Parc des Topiaires for fun. The famous green Labyrinth is nearby.
