A True Hidden Palace: Comfort and Luxury RedefinedThis place is the ultimate definition of "Don't judge a book by its cover"—it's like entering a beautiful new world you never imagined. The moment we stepped inside, my wife and I were completely captivated and instantly felt like a king and queen in our own palace. The comfort provided here is truly exceptional. The interior is absolutely top-notch, showcasing brilliant design. Though minimalist in size, the setup is incredibly clever; every single one of your necessities has been thoughtfully covered. Every element, from the arrangement of the furniture to the overall room aesthetic, is soothing and comforting to the eyes. The whole atmosphere is intentionally crafted to provide tranquility and luxurious escape. We absolutely loved every single detail. If you are seeking a stay that offers unparalleled relaxation and makes you feel completely pampered, this is the hidden gem you need to experience. We look forward to returning soon! I saw comments that the hotel is dated but I think there is charm about it and it's not bad. I have booked a room with sea view and balcony and my room was very big. The bathroom has walk in shower and bath too. There are 3 different swimming pools and garden. In the complex is a small shop with water, drinks, ice cream, snacks and souvenirs. The breakfast was very generous with many different Asian and European food options. The complex offers multiple restaurants. I was expecting more sea food but due low season not all were open. Beach has sun beds and umbrellas and it was mainly empty. Big waves for surfing and beach was so long, great for walk. If you stay use their wellness center it's special and the service was amazing.

The Magellan Sutera Resort is large property popular with families, groups, and couples. Staff were professional and very helpful. The rooms (ours was sea view, king) are spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and very popular with children, and there is a small beach to access the sea. There are several restaurants to choose from with very good food options. The breakfast buffet (included) was tasty, varied and plentiful. The view from the open-air breakfast area was truly tropical.

It's a pretty fast-paced city with a large sprawling suburban area away from the coastline, regular traffic jams and huge smelly markets by the foreshore. We used it as a base for a trip to the Tip of Borneo, climbing Mt Kinabalu, and flying over to Sandakan for some wildlife spotting, and our focus was never on actually staying in KK to enjoy it, merely to stop over. However, we did discover a gem of a spot near Gaya St with beautiful little cafes and gift shops that is well worth checking out. Visit Woo!, The Nook and The Art Attic and you'll have a great time.

The flavors are rich, authentic and unforgettable. Beyond the food, Kuching is a nature lover’s paradise. Immigration counter for elderly[>60years] & parent with infant was miss-used; probably should station an officer to monitor it. I decided to take local taxi from airport to Dynasty Hotel, instead of booking 'GRAB' or 'MAXIMM'; it was a mistake...as I have to wait nearly one hour; probably at night [2030], taxi are scarce; anyway it was a nice short journey; In the morning,[0830] I took a "GRAB" tp Piasau industrial area & it picked me up very fast; I noticed the roads are clean. no debris sighted.

It is always very pleasant browsing through all the fruits and plants stalls. In actual fact, the whole purposes of going up to Kundasang is to visit this stalls. This trip, some stalls were demolished. But am pleased to hear that new stalls being built across the old location. Hope the new stalls footpaths/walkways are better laid for safer footing.

Great experience.

Great experience. The walk on a deck around the jungle is great idea for families. The flora gives you the feel that you are in the middle of the forest and sometimes apes cross it too then it turns into real jungle. Le loved it. The nursery offers view rooms with or without A/C. your choice. The main deck is big enough for everyone to see. 100% must do activity in Sandakan.

There’s not a lot to do or see in Sempora. It’s a jump off spot to local diving and islands. The best coffee I found is at McDonalds. Good idea to get cash before you get there, lines at ATMs can be n hour long. Wise red worked a treat for eftpos. Small supermarkets have everything you need with a variety of eating places

Sibu is a charming riverside town in Sarawak with a laid-back feel. Love the local food scene, especially kampua mee, a local must try noodle and kompia, a local savoury pastry also must try! People are friendly and it’s a great base to experience authentic Foochow culture. Riverfront is nice for evening walks, central market is lively, and the people are welcoming. Great spot to experience real Sarawak life away from the crowds.
