I could never imagine how nice this hotel is. The staff is very polite always ready to help. They accommodated my needs in terms of having space for my work meetings. The location could not be any better. The hotel is opposite the water park with its mineral water at the door step. The view at the top where I could enjoy the clean and fresh water of the swimming pool is superb. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of pastries, you could ask lovely ladies for the eggs how you like them. Excellent juices, rice pudding, yoghurt, cereals and wonderful famous Brazilian cheese bread. We have enjoyed a ride on the panoramic lift offering the view of Sao lourenco Church and a lovely neighbourhood

A lovely town in the mountains. Breathtaking views with fresh air. The old town is amazingly Cute with good restaurants. Dont forget to try the Minas Gerais food, finger licking good!!! The Churches are beautiful, out and inside, a must visit!!! I stayed there only for one day and will definitely come back in the future.. ❤️

Not a touristic destination
There is no point on visiting the city if you don't have any relative there or any event to attend to. Especially because the access to the city is awful, as well as to any countryside city in the state of Minas Gerais. The University of Viçosa is large and very pleasant for a stroll. It is also recommended for anybody to buy some cheese at "Casa do Queijo". And that is pretty much it.

You could not leave BH is you don't visit Museo das Minas e Metais (free), an exciting place with gorgeous displays ( few interactive) to understand the city growth and several minerals explored in the minas around the state (Minas Gerais)

Perhaps like most cities in Brazil, the section around the Rodoviaria is not the best. However, once one goes into sections of town such as Floresta or Lourdes, the environment changes quite quickly, as those areas feel cleaner and safer. There is a very stark difference between the Rodoviaria area and the sections of the city surrounding it. The city seems to sprawl in all directions, and the airport Confins seemed to be rather distant from the city center. Coming into Confins, one can see many of the mines that are the reason for the state's name, Minas Gerais and the bus from the airport was very convenient. The Pampulha section of town is on the way from the Confins airport to the city center, and appeared pretty. I did not really have that much time in BH (Bay- a-GAH) but I did go to Inhotim in Brumadinho as a day trip from BH, and I thought the place was wonderful. It is a very well-done botanical garden/arboretum/architectural showpiece/open-air museum with interesting art exhibits, with enough interesting and beautiful things (including a pool , or rather, an art exhibit you can swim in) that it made for a great day.

Tiradentes é uma preciosidade de Minas Gerais. Um charme de cidadezinha. O centro histórico é incrível e toda cultura que esbanja por lá, seja da própria cidade ou dos inúmeros festivais que lá acontecem (de fotografia, gastronomia, cinema, etc), tornam Tiradentes uma delícia pra visitar, descansar, conhecer, passear. Muitos restaurantes excelentes, uma população local que recebe super bem os turistas, lojinhas incríveis, gastronomia local impressionante. O encontro perfeito entre progresso cultural e cultivo de raízes. A UNICA COISA que não combina mesmo com tanto charme são as CHARRETES. Exploração animal principalmente para turismo é coisa do passado, é muito triste, incomoda e destrói o clima bom do lugar. Os animais mesmo quando "bem tratados" visivelmente poderiam estar em condições bem melhores. Espero que consciência venha logo e que as pessoas parem de financiar e incentivar esse tipo de "turismo" onde nem todo mundo se diverte.

Capitolio is a small city at Minas Gerais a state of Brazil. Furnas dam was created on a rocky region with some Canyons that you can enjoy accessing by boar or walking. Out of reservoir you can take a walk all around and enjoy several small waterfalls. Weather in August is pretty cold, but is a good season to avoid crowd and take the advantage of smaller prices. Five day are far enough to enjoy almost everything including the hotel if you stay on a hotel with entertainment.

Historic hill town in Minas Gerais. Lots of stone and gems - so interesting shops. They will also quickly work up whatever you want — from a couple of hours to the next day. History and churches. Mines are interesting. Lots of friendly townsfolk. Wear shoes for cobblestones and stone streets... and hills. Hikes in the area to waterfalls too.

Unique college town with tons of students. Was there for work and got to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Brazil. Plenty of shops, restaurants and stores. There’s buses and taxis for transportation. Plenty of unique fruits and vegetables local to Minas Gerais.

Nice view and pool. Cleanliness is good. Breakfast is good. The bed was comfortable and the shower is nice and hot. It is a bit outside the city, which worked well for us, because we left the car there and got a taxi/PamPam (the local Uber) for R$15-20 every time we needed to go to the tourist centre of town and didn't need to navigate the narrow and busy streets ourselves by car.

Beautiful place with kind hosts! you’re going to live in a fairly land surrounded by green. The room/bungalow is beautiful and well equipped. the fact that you have a fireplace at your bed feet makes it very charming, cozy and romantic. Anything we needed Fabrício (host) helped us. The breakfast is authentic and fantastic, could not expect anything better. thanks!
