- From $346.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,459 reviewsI liked the fact that this resort was located directly opposite a huge shopping mall, 15 mins from the airport( IGU) ,15 mins from the boarder of Argentina, about 25 mins to the entrance of the iguazu national park where the iguazu fall is located and two minutes walk to a taxi stand. Everything about the location of this resort was perfect. I also like that the resort itself was very neat! My room, which was situated in the new grey building, was amazing.! I was on the fifth floor room 590. I had the view of the pools, the children's water slides, the wave pool, the zip liner, and the beautiful view of the forest as well. There is a lookout point at the end of the corridor ,which is a glass partition, and that's where my room was located. Very friendly staff. I also liked the fact that the guests at this resort had access to the water park next door. There was also a zipliner on property, which cost like R70 since it was owned and operated by a company not associated with the resort The other thing that I liked about the resort ,was that , you had a choice to eat three meals at the resort at a small cost of R100 per person for lunch and dinner, had to pay for all sodas and wines, but breakfast was free. The pools were also heated up and stayed open until 8 pm. The children water area also stayed open late, but the wave pool closed at 5pm. There was also one swim up bar at the main pool ( have to pay for drinks )and another bar located near the pool, but it is not a swim up bar.( you also pay for drinks). At the time I stayed there, the resort was very quiet! Both during the day and at night. I heard no loud music or talking etc. There were not many children there either. I stayed there the last week in May, and that may have been the reason why it was very quiet. There were also a lot of sitting areas with chairs and umbrellas around the pool areas. The view of the lush green forest just added Xtra beauty to the resort.Guest review byshermaqueenUnited States

Definitely a trip to keep on your Brazil itinerary. We spent almost 2 days on our visit with the first day visiting the Argentinian side. The second day we did the Brazil side with a visit to the Bird Sanctuary but due to timing missed the opportunity to do a boat trip up to the falls.Guest review byJohnathanKenya - 10.0

Everything else: 1.
Everything else: 1. We checked in close to 4pm, even the checkin time was 2pm. Yes, they didn't have the room we asked for (at the highest floor), even though they had PLENTY of rooms available on 5th floor and 5th floor. Some of my acquantancies stayed on these floor. 2. The free internet was a HELL to get, through a very complicated process..... 3. They called my room VERY LATE AT NIGHT,saying that they had schedule a DINNER in our room....WRONG NUMBER. 4. Due to the dinner apparently scheduled to take place in OUR FLOOR or on TOP of us, the spent the ENTIRE afternoon dragging furniture all over the places, dropping stuff, etc. STAYING IN OUR ROOM WAS A HELL!!!!Guest review byRosemarieCanada - 10.0

My First Time meet Curitiba City
My First Time meet Curitiba City When I found out that two of my favorite American punk rock/HC bands, Circle Jerkys and Descendents, were going to tour Brazil, but they wouldn't be playing shows in my city, I knew I had to travel to see them. There was a date scheduled for São Paulo and another for Curitiba, but due to the situation at the airports due to the flooding that year, I decided to buy a ticket for Curitiba because of the price less, proximity and lower demand. In October, when Salgado Filho Airport reopened, I didn't waste any time and bought a ticket, then booked a hotel. I've always been curious about the city of Curitiba, because it seemed like a cool, cultural and organized city, in addition to having a strong skateboarding and underground culture. The day before the show, I traveled and when I arrived I met a friend who had come by bus. After checking into the hotel, we decided to walk to a famous local skate park, so that we could get to know the city better. Curitiba is similar to Porto Alegre in some ways, it's a big city but with the structure of a small town, the places are relatively close together and it has lots of trees, but it's more organized, clean and apparently safer. The people are very friendly and the local food is delicious. One day I went to the municipal market and ate "carne de onça", a typical dish made with seasoned raw meat, and I liked it "lol". There are also many influences from Arab and Oriental cuisine, and there are several restaurants that specialize in it. The night of the show was incredible, the place was as big as a shopping mall, with food trucks, shops and a tattoo studio (I even got one "lol") and watching these two embryonic bands of my lifestyle was amazing. I came back fulfilled, with the certainty that I will return another time.Guest review byThiagoBrazil - 10.0

An incredible visit to the Falls on both the Brazil and Argentinian sides. It is recommended to visit both sides in 2 days. The area can get extremely crowded, sometime feeling like Disneyland. But without the additional extra fees. Worth a visit.Guest review byZAMIRCanada - 10.0
Ilha do Mel is an amazing collection of great beaches and...
Ilha do Mel is an amazing collection of great beaches and hills (morros), jungle like trails (trilhas), wild vegetation and rustical "back to the roots" small "towns" (Brasilia & Encantadas). There are no cars, no streets, no excessive lights giving the location a great sex-appeal of simple and relaxing life. People is very friendly as in almost everywhere in Brazil. Some locations are reasonably "crowded" like popular bars and beaches, but if you enjoy unspoiled nature & loneliness you quickly access bays and trails where you have the feeling of being the first human being there. Awesome. Food is great (shrimps) and drinks (caipirinha) even better. Many spots with live brazilian music. Great sunsets. Clean and warm sea water (at least in April). The whole island in an astonishing wild vegetation. Morros (hills) cut the white sand bays offering great panoramic views. History is neither missing with the beautiful Fortaleza (portuguese fort on the beach from the colonial period). A true gem of the Parana state...Guest review byChristianLiechtenstein - 4.0
Give the place a miss.
Give the place a miss. Some interesting architecture but it’s fairly grim, run down, derelict in lots of areas and clearly needs massive investment especially to help the homeless there. On a Sunday the city is closed.Guest review byJeffreyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay.
Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay. Wining and dining both in Brazil and Argentina and of course the Waterfalls and Itaipu hydroelectric dam are the basics, but there is a lot more. Unfortunately we had only three days to spend there.Guest review byTimoBrazil
