The falls are awesome! I did the boat ride with friends and highly recommend it but do hire a locker for your bag and carry a very good rain coat for the boat or in case it rains. Make sure your raincoat covers your bag in case of rain. When it rains in Brazil it’s heavy rain! It rained almost the whole time I was there but was still worth the visit.
Amazing. Get off the bus at the 2nd last stop and walk to the elevator. The views are spectacular. We had difficulty finding where the return bus left from. When you exit the lift head towards the restaurants to your right (at the end of the road) and the bus will pick you up in their.
Absolutely worth the trip in from the coast to see it. Go early to get ahead of the crowds and give yourself time to look around. The boat trip under the falls is great fun - be prepared to get soaking wet, a poncho or rain jacket will not keep all that water out!
Be prepared to get soaked. In summer time wear light clothes and sandals. Even if you dont get to the boat cruise, walking on the platforms near the fall will expose you to the a rain a fine droplets, you will get wet anyway!
The walkways on Brazilian side are narrow and bus loads off tourists walking slowly in front of you is frustrating. Go early so that you miss the crowds. There are more falls to see and different walkways on Argentine side, so if you only have time for one country go for Argentina. There are upper and lower walkways so you can view waterfalls from every angle, plus you have the magnificent view of the main waterfall (Devil's throught) and down the whole valley of falls. Frankly if you are travelling to see the falls they are mainly in Argentina;don't waste time on the other side.I'm from Africa and not bias, have seen many big falls and know when I've seen the main fall. Brazil has distant views and provides a different view angle, but thats it.
Worth going to see the iguassu falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides as both perspectives are intensely different. If you are wanting to do the boat ride under the falls the Argentinian boats go under two waterfalls whereas the Brazilian only go under one - Argentinian is better value for money.
