This campsite was recommended to us by other travellers and we were not disappointed as it is an excellent place to stay. The cottages and camp site are located about 15 mins from Ngoma on the Botswana side of the border. We stayed in a self-catering cottage and would describe the facilities as excellent.
The cottage had a queen size bed with mosquito net, a sofa which could be used as a bed, a large ensuite bathroom with an outside shower accessed from inside the bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also an outdoor deck and table, and a braai for cooking.
The reception has a well stocked shop with food, their own grown produce, and craft items for sale. There is wifi at reception area, plus complimentary tea and coffee, wit the option to buy coffee pods for the coffee machine. Staff were really helpful and organised an early check-in for us – the communication was excellent.
The site also has campsites and ‘glamping’ tents, a swimming pool and a deck overlooking the Chobe river.
We would definitely stay again.

The Old House has been nicely renovated and looks colourful and modern now. Our room (no 8) was nicely decorated and had a nice little terrace looking into the little garden with a nice restaurant. The food (breakfast & dinner) was very good, the WiFi worked well too.
Parking in front of the building (not secluded, but pretty safe). The highlight was the 3 hours boat tour in the afternoon. The hotel has 3 own boats, which are not so big, but ideal to get closer to the animals than the big boats. We saw hundreds of elephants, lots of buffalos, antelopes, hippos and crocodiles. It was a stunning experience, which visitors to Kasane should not miss! We can highly recommend the Old House!

We couldn't have wanted anything more. The staff were exceptional, the upgrade to the whole home was spectacular, the food was varied and always hot and delicious,the grounds were lovely and it was all on a great location along the Chobe River. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone interested in relaxation and nature. Our guide, John, for the boat cruise and the safaris was outstanding in his knowledge of the birds, animals in the area and the landscape. One of the servers, Monte, went out of her way to make our first evening meal there a wonderful one to remember with candlelight in a special setting.

Small family business in the center of the village a bit aside from the main road with few rooms and pool. Walking distance to main mall. Very friendly host and personnel. Just show up and they'll take care of the rest of your stay. They organize all transfers (Victoria Falls) and attractions at good price (game drives, boat cruises etc.). However they don't communicate it in the welcome message once booked. Pity. I didn't know that before the arrival so I booked all my activities elsewhere in advance. However I wish I had used their offers. Very good stay. Fully recommended!

We booked two rooms with very comfortable and spacious king-size beds. The rooms were large, bright and spotless, with air conditioning, TV, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities — everything we needed. The location is also convenient, only about 3 minutes by car from Kasane town centre and the shops. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay.

We just love this place. The staff is the best! They are so nice and helpful. Area is just amazing, they really take care of the pool, cleaning and help with mosquitoes plus they helped us manage all the trips (Chobe plus Victoria fall) with really good price. Big thank you!!!

There are a lot of choices of restuarants where you can dine at.
I really enjoyed every area we visited in Kasane
My kids loved the boat cruise and game drive and visited Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe as is close by Kasane and they really enjoyed their time there.
We even visited the Botswana Zambia Bridge, we really had an awesome time there.

Muchenje has beautiful shaded level campsites with wonderful exclusive use spotless bathroom facilities, the Staff are professional and communication around your booking is almost instantaneous unlike the Botswana norm. The position is perfect to explore the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park as an alternative to Ihaha, or as a stop between Kasane and Savuti or before Ngoma Gate. There is a new fuel station close by.

Kasane is a great place to explore Chobe river front by both vehicle and boat. It has a good range of shops/ food / drink options and you might be lucky to see the resident warthog or banded mongoose families wandering about round town. They are perfectly harmless!
It is also very easy (at least in season) to join a tour to Victoria Falls for a day.
Most people are passing through as self drivers or on organised tours but I have now stayed twice, without a vehicle, and had a great time using local tour companies for wildlife adventures. It's a wonderful place!

Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Personally, I would prefer staying in Livingstone and doing a day trip to Kasane, as it offers a wider range of quality stays and overall a more well-rounded experience.
