The property was cozy and clean. Cabin was nice and warm on cold days. Clean bathrooms! Really lovely to stay here. It’s a camp but I stayed for business. Service was extremely friendly and the breakfast was unreal. Pick your pannenkoenen and enjoy. I mean just a fantastic way to start the day.

Ton is an amazing host and the tower is cozy with a great view! Can hear the waves crashing from the porch. A quick walk takes you to a picturesque rocky beach. To top it off, a pannekoek in the morning really hits the spot! Highly recommend.

This place was absolutely incredible! I was expecting a rustic cottage, but it was lovely and very well appointed. There was a comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom, and living room with a beautiful little fireplace heater. We visited Ingonish in mid May, so we had sun and some very windy days. The heater was very nice at night. The biggest pro was the gorgeous view. We stayed in cottage number nine, and it was incredibly private with a sea view and a private hot tub. Sitting out on the deck, we had eagles flying over us and boats fishing in the bay. The hosts were responsive and very kind. I cannot say enough good things about the place. We really loved our stay!

The location was very quiet, peaceful. Angela-greeted us as we arrived and gave us the lowdown. She was sooo nice and very joyful. We had wonderful conversations with her. The cabin was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The surrounding scenery was fantastic, mountains, trees and a small brook across the street. Very convenient to drive to other surrounding places. It had everything you need in the kitchen and the tv was a nice touch. I highly recommend these cabins especially Angela-she is terrific..

Baddeck is a quaint little town and the perfect base for exploring the Cabot Trail. It has a charming, small-town feel with lovely views of the Bras d'Or Lake, and everything you need — restaurants, shops, and accommodations — is within easy walking distance. Its central location on Cape Breton Island makes it ideal for day trips around the trail, and it's a peaceful, welcoming spot to return to after a day of sightseeing. One thing to note: the town is very quiet in the evenings, and most shops and restaurants close early, so don't expect much nightlife. That said, it makes for a lovely, peaceful stroll after dinner. Highly recommend it as a home base for a Cape Breton trip.

Lots of interesting places to visit , everyone is super friendly and welcoming. On the way to Inverness, the beach is one of the best places. The lighthouse in Cheticamp isn’t worth the drive in the gravel road, and not the nicest lighthouse, there are many others.

We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach!

We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola. Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.

Everyone in this small town was friendly. Purchased some groceries in the small supermarket, had coffee and dessert at Main Street Restaurant. Would have liked to lunch there. Menu looked amazing. Got our lobsters at the wharf on Wharf Street.

The staff are so nice and helpful.

The staff are so nice and helpful. Their restaurant on site was so convenient after a busy day, food was delicious. The beds are comfy. The grounds were nicely decorated with lots of places to sit to do some star gazing. The wifi can be spotty at times and is not their fault due to the area they are located. It is a beautiful and peaceful spot to stay surrounded by mountains. Very quiet. Loved our stay and will go back again.

Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail. Therefore very few restaurants. They also close early in the shoulder season so good to keep in mind. The main restaurant was Belles and it had a good selection on the menu. The lobster roll was okay and the seafood chowder good.

It is gorgeous but even more remote than I realized. Options for food and bathrooms are few and far between and have limited operating hours. Plan accordingly and it will be perfect! The Dancing Moose and the Clucking Hen were both terrific with the offerings and the quality of the food.

The Cabot trail is a must see!

The Cabot trail is a must see! This time we drove it in a counter clockwise direction and it was spectacular! We ate at a diner in Margaree . The owners name is Roddie and he is so interesting to talk to! Food was fantastic! The only thing I’d avoid is the potholes in some of the roads! LOL!

This was a unique communal camping experience but it is not, as they call themselves, a 4-star resort. It is definitely not for everyone and I would highly recommend more clarity on the Booking.com site. My review should be on there.

Great small town to visit in a beautiful location.

Great small town to visit in a beautiful location. It has the Alexander Graham Bell museum which was very interesting, many little shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes. If you stay in town at one of the hotels (we stayed at Linwood and enjoyed it) then everything is within a few minutes walk, even the museum. A few days to relax and enjoy the town is recommended. Then note that the town is central to other attractions - the Highland Village and the St. Louis Fortress are both an hours drive away. Sydney is 30 minutes or so away. We did a loop around Bras D'Or lake, hitting the Highland Village, progressing to the St. Louis Fortress and then an evening in Sydney in one day - it was just right.
