AWWW all the staff was so nice in this Hotel. We bring our two dogs and we stay in this hotel for a week. They were so friendly with our dogs and gave them treats! Before we arrived, the staff prepared dog treats, dog bowls, and dog beds for us in the room! The room is so clean and tidy, the location is wonderful and convenient and the view is perfect from the room. We can't wait back to this hotel next year!!!

I had a fantastic stay at this place. The staff were extremely friendly, and the facility was spotless and new. Everything was very clean, and the Samsung washing machine and dryer were a great bonus. The jacuzzi was very relaxing, and all the equipment was up-to-date. There was even a heated clothes rack and a Samsung smart TV. The place was quiet, and the towels and bedding were very comfortable. Overall, it was an excellent accommodation.-Don’t judge by appearances alone(the building) —this place is genuinely outstanding.

We had a double queen bed room for a party of 3 people for a one night stay in St. John's. The room was nicely decorated, very spacious and clean (I am very picky about hotel cleanliness) as was the bathroom, great shower. Property was spectacular with a unique rock design and vibe. The location and walking distance to Water Street/Duckworth Street /George Street only minutes away was perfect. We didn't eat here so no comment on restaurant nor did we make use of the pool or fitness area. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Large room with a very comfortable bed. Loved the shower, too. The bedside lights were unique and very useful. Having a nice restaurant on site for dinner and receiving 10% off because you are a guest is an added bonus. You can also get ice at the bar to take back to your room.

Newfoundland is wonderful, St John's is not .

Newfoundland is wonderful, St John's is not . Apart from seeing the Rooms and the whale at MUN there is little to see. Water street is a horrible tourist mess, especially the grotty and expensive pubs. George street is.even worse with all the pseudo-Irish blarney and drunkards and panhandlers. I would give it one day for sightseeing and stay out in the small towns and outports which are far more interesting. We were here for a month in all, eight days in St John's. It should have been thirty days outside the city and one in.

Loved our trip to Western Brook Pond and boat tour.

Loved our trip to Western Brook Pond and boat tour. It was beautiful, informative, and entertaining. I would have liked to stay a day or two more to explore the harbour maybe via kayak, cross to Woody Point, and hike more trails of Gros Morne National Park. Check out some of the local artisan shops and maybe enjoy some live, local music in the evening.

Two minute drive from ferry. Very friendly folk. We stayed at Hotel Port Aux Basque and we would stay there again. We didn’t spend much time driving around. We only stayed for the night before continuing our journey up north. The hotel was within walking distance to Irving and a Tim Hortons, as well as a convenience store a little up the road. There was also a Foodland in the area which we did not visit.

We were in Twillingate for 2 nights in the beginning of July, hoping to see some remaining Icebergs but there were none in the vicinity, and the whales weren't in yet. However, we did book a boat tour with captain Dave which was a highlight of our trip since we learned and experimented cod fishing and explored the coast , and we discovered a great restaurant by the sea which serves fresh lobster. There is a very nice network of hiking trails to explore in Twillingate, well identified, for stunning views of the coast . All in all it was well worth exploring this region.

We only plan on staying the 1 night to take the kids to the fair, and do some school shopping this time so wasn't much sightseeing this trip, but in the pass we have visited the park, and the train, and just plain drive around to explore. Lots of stuff to do to keep kids happy, also I love cornerbrook in the fall, the fall colors are awesome

I initially just wanted to stop in Gander to pay homage to "Come From Away" - see the memorials, check out the 9/11 exhibition at the Aviation Museum, check out the town, and then be on my way. But I found myself wanting to stay at least another day, if only to try out another meal at Rosie's Restaurant, and go for a wander around Cobbs Pond. While at East Ocean Chinese Restaurant, the only non-chain sit-down restaurant that was open on Canada Day (that we happened upon, anyway), the server told us that the Gander International Airport lounge had recently been opened to visitors and that there was an exhibition about the lounge's history. It was a great recommendation and I loved both the lounge itself and the exhibition. The people that we met in the short stay here were also lovely - just like you hoped they'd be. I am looking forward to my next visit to Newfoundland where Gander will definitely be a destination and not just a stopover!

We went to see Puffins. We went to the lighthouse after supper and went to the cliffs to see puffins. We were all alone, maybe because of the chilly, damp, windy weather. So we quietly sat on a rock and they just started landing beside us.... Amazing.

GFW is a useful stopping point when crossing the island, we were reasonably lucky with the weather, if it had been raining we would of struggled to fill the days. as with much of NL I would pass by if we had not previously read the reviews, we found good pizza at Leftys and also an Indian near the malls
