Dwight, the owner, was a pleasure to chat with. His recommendations, welcoming energy, and stories were a highlight of our trip. The cottages are cozy, personal, and have a fantastic view of the ocean. Also, a great little kitchen and really nice mattresses! The location is easy to find, easy to get to, and easy to travel from being somewhat in between most PEI attractions. Overall, a great choice for families and solo travel. We even stayed two extra nights!

It was an excellent location. A home away from home. We stay in the spring just before things opened. Im sure during the summer it would be different. This location would be a fun place for families. We did get to visit Green Gables and sightseeing, lighthouses and ocean views and sunset were beautiful.

Just steps from the beach, with beautiful views of the lake. Only a 15-minute drive to Charlottetown. Comfortable rooms, a peaceful setting, and a cozy atmosphere made it one of our favourite places to stay in PEI. We’d happily come back again.

The cottage was spacious and clean. Plenty of towels and nicely equipped kitchen and outdoor grill area. We had a problem with the front door lock and the cottage manager came right over and replaced the lock at 9 pm. Great service.

Everyone in Charlottetown was very friendly and helpful with directions and general information. The coastline was impressive and I really enjoyed seeing the different lighthouses. Food was excellent! The Potato Museum was very unique. Who knew there was so much to learn about a potato! A definite must see!

There is a wonderful ice cream shop called Holman's, a wonderful antique store, at least two places to get fresh seafood, and it is easy to walk around and talk to people; everyone is helpful and friendly. I bought some lobster from JMK Seafood and the Shipyard provided a wonderful seafood linguine. I was there for 2 days for work, so I did not get to see much. I highly recommend Credit Union Arena for all the amazing things to take advantage of: swimming, an indoor walking track, ice skating, three good places to eat, and so much more. I had a sandwich from Five Eleven West that was delicious, and their coffee is great, too.

Im sure Cavendish in the Summer would be amazing , but during the fall nothing was open , not even Tim Hortons cause" they close for the season? ".. alot of the shops and food places were also closed ..and what was opened closed super early .

North Rustico is a true village unlike Cavendish.

North Rustico is a true village unlike Cavendish. It has shops, restaurants and cafes and most importantly you are equidistant to both Cavendish beach and Brackley Beach. On the Dock had great food and Frothy Cafe makes great flat whites!

Cottage was really cute and well equipped with everything we needed but could be updated and a bit more modern. Horses were a delight. Pool was great, but again lounge chairs and umbrellas would make it really great. Wifi was a bit wonky some days - we were able to run phones, a laptop, Firestick and Alexa but not perfectly. Not sure it would have been strong enough if I had planned to work there. It was a done deal because our dog was welcome and that's worth everything to us! Highly recommend.

The confederation trail which runs through the town is great...

The confederation trail which runs through the town is great, excellent view of the river, pleasure boats and fishing boats. Along the trail are shops such as an ice cream store, artisans store and floating bar. The trail in the town is lighted at night. Several very nice restaurants in the area, seafood was excellent. Very close to stores and pharmacies as well. Close to ferry terminal if arriving from Nova Scotia

A very small, quiet town - the perfect spot to decompress, unwind and enjoy some quiet time. We were there during the shoulder season but managed to find some cute little spots for snacks, meals and treats.

Charlottetown is such a delightful city to visit with a mix...

Charlottetown is such a delightful city to visit with a mix of historical and newer buildings and homes. Easy to walk to several historical sights and to admire the exterior architecture and the groomed yards of many homes. You need 2+ full days to see and fully absorb this place.

The people are friendly in this town.

The people are friendly in this town. There is not much to do in Summerside, but it’s only 30 minutes away from Cavendish Beach. This makes it a convenient place to stay for those wishing to visit Cavendish and then head back to the mainland the next day.
