A nice hotel, set at the back of a shopping area. The staff were very accommodating. My daughter needed to so some work for school and print some pages. There was a good, quiet place to work and a free printer.

We were staying for wedding trip. When we entered the hotel, it smells so good and it was very welcoming. Breakfast was amazing.My husband really loves it! Kitchen staffs kept checking food and cleaning. Waffles was awesome! Swimming pool was very clean and our room was quiet , clean and spacious. Washroom amenities were so good. All hotel smells their own amenities(called zero) We didn't want to go outside . We could stay at hotel all vacation. :) Bed was comfortable , sofa, chairs and all stuffs are pretty new I felt so comfortable. (I want to buy the same chair actually) We will definately come back!

Honestly, I do not know why this property is listed as a 2 star on booking- this accommodation is a solid 3 star, even 4 star in several ways! I would highly recommend Carriage Ridge Resort for a weekend getaway, or as accommodation for activities in the area. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, there is several BBQ areas, a playground, a campfire pit, a gym, an arcade with a billiard table. The indoor pool is lovely and warm in the low 80s, and the hot tub is almost too hot! Very relaxing! Our room was clean and very spacious, the kitchenette had a fridge and microwave - and a blender, toaster, and coffee maker! The property is not zoned to offer food, bit absolutely you could bring continental food items and prepare them in the room - there is even a cutting board, knives, utensils, wine glasses, etc. The bed was extremely comfy, and they provided us with a half dozen pillows, as well as additional linens. Also, we were on the first floor and had a lovely walk out patio with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the forest views! We will definitely be staying here again, and I would like to thank the staff for making us feel welcome!

I think we found Hotel California here - and if we would not have been able to leave we would not be sad at all 😊 The stay was extraordinary - this place is purely relaxed, from the second we arrived! The host is caring for his motel and his guests and the location is just perfect. The beach has a nostalgic flair which we found just fascinating. We were here with our 3 yr old, she liked the place also very much as the beach is perfect for little children. There was good ice cream, good food, a small grocery store, games, warm and calm water which allowed for nice morning swims and stunning sunsets at the beach. We would come back anytime!

I stay at alot of hotels and rate them This hotel was perfect 10/10 Free breakfast Hot cold buffet Beds are comfortable Clean facilities Great price Close to shopping One simple advice .......refresh the eggs in the morning lol they made scrambled eggs at 6.30 or 6.45 and they sit there until 9am when breakfast is over so if you want fresh get up at 7am lol

While the hotel was excellent in every way, it was located...

While the hotel was excellent in every way, it was located on the outskirts of Collingwood. Since we were familiar with the area, driving was effortless. we met friends & had a delicious Italian meal at Tesoro.

There are many places to visit in Barrie: the lake, many hiking and walking trails throughout the city. Access is easy to get to with a car. The Georgian Mall is very clean and spacious to shop or browse.

Great little town for a getaway. Lots of sight seeing. Plenty of dining choices. Safe and friendly place. Made a couple of donations at the casino. Stayed at the Comfort Inn below town as they accommodated our furry little traveling companion. No pet friendly hotels near the casino??

We started visiting Midland when our next door neighbours...

We started visiting Midland when our next door neighbours moved to Penetang after retirement. They took us around and we discovered an enjoyable corner of Ontario. Love the marina. Great sunsets over the lake. Nice options for dinner. We specially loved Ariston, the Greek Restaurant in Balm Beach. Real Greek flavours and a lovely environment to enjoy good company and great food.

At summer time the lake was full of seaweeds and not very pleasant, but it is long beach with sand with parks, with playgrounds. It is beautiful forest in Wasaga and all infrastructure is ready for tourists.

Good clean and comfortable room. Nice and quiet if you want a peaceful stay. Don’t even need to leave as they have everything available! The owners are very accommodating and nice/friendly! Easy check-in and out! Will be back!!

Orillia is a lovely little community We knew the area well from previous trips There is a shortage of restaurants close to the resort so you need to branch out Wasaga beach is lovely but if busy you need to make reservations

I lived in Bradford 35 years ago for a year or so and couldn’t believe how Bradford grew! Everything we needed was there! Lots of restaurants to choose from and grocery stores as well. A 30 minute drive to David’s Bridal in Woodbridge made staying in Bradford the perfect choice.

Very nice town on Lake Huron, great shops and all the services you need. We stayed there because we went to visit some apple orchards to sample their cider products, we hiked in the Blue Mountains and we also really enjoyed Wasaga Beach without the crowds during this amazingly warm off-season (September 2025). The hotel was just a little outside town, the area rather industrial, but it suited us well since parking was free and it was easy to travel to the places we went to visit.
