"It's located at the lake side with beautiful views, there's a ferry stop there, in close distance there's nice place to sunbath, swim and sup in Lago Mio, really food restaurant in parkhotel schwert. There are several wanderweg & mountain trails from Weesen or Amden, you can also use bus & train to got to the other (really lovely) side of the lake or near Glarus or Klontalersee. Buses run every 30 minuts and link with train in Ziegelbrucke."

"It is a very nice and quiet commune on the mountain. You can easily reach it via Triesen or also through another link road via Vaduz Castle. There are some restaurants in the town but they all close down soon by 9 or 10 PM. Vaduz town is easily reachable in 10min and you get a very nice sunset and view of the valley including small Swiss towns from Triesenberg. Dont miss to drive up the mountain and visit a small but beautiful Lake Steg. Also there are many treks possible."

"The region has quite a lot of interesting attractions to offer, as well for the summer as for the winter, altough however it seems like it's more targetted to winter time. Yet there are interesting options for enthusiasts of biking, hiking, trekking and probably also climbing. In Tannenboden one can find a gondola-lift taking at the level of some 2000 meters, where few hiking tracks are available. There is also a chair-lift with which one can go to the lower level and find a chance to go down with sledge-runway, adapted for children (under this link more details on that https://www.flumserberg.ch/en/information/Open-facilities/Summer ) There is quite a lot of hotels around so anyone can find something suitable for the stay. However if you'd like to find youself in the middle of the mountains, with a beautiful lake near, and no civilization at least within 1000 meters around, you should look for Berghotel Seebenalp. Deifnitely a must-visit place for mountain lovers."

I loved the balcony view of the mountains. Breakfast was exceptional, beds were very comfy. I especially appreciated the keyless management system of the establishment - you can unlock doors just with your phone through their app! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel has its parking places outside - no extra cost.

Liechtenstein is beautiful, clean, and easy to navigate.

Liechtenstein is beautiful, clean, and easy to navigate. I had a rental car and thoroughly enjoyed the "road trip" of exploring the area. I only stayed one night but would have happily stayed another day or two to do some hiking and explore the area more.

Its too late to come to Malbun for cross country skiing at...

Its too late to come to Malbun for cross country skiing at the beginning of March. We were hopeful for some snow still but all was gone already and unlike in some Swiss resorts there is no snow farming in Malbun/Steg.

The town provides really a lot.

The town provides really a lot. Great view on magnificent Churfirsten mountains - lake close by with several activities such as boating and diving. The centre has several great restaurants with a diverse range. Large supermarkets, post office - all there. The train station is right next to city centre and has frequent connections to literally everywhere in Switzerland. Hiking and skiing are accessible with short travel.

beautiful secluded area in the middle of Switzerland, that is 1 hour away from Zurich and 1 hour away from St. Gallen and Appenzel. in 10 min you are in Weesen at the shores of Weesensee (a beautiful and tranquil lake between two mountains (no wonder the area is call the fiord of Switzerland). it is a great area for hiking, watersports, and just relaxation.

A quaint village on the shores of Lake Walensee, under the impressive Churfirsten (mountain range). Can be busy and crowded on a warm summers day. Best time to visit would be early morning or early evening. If a keen hiker it's a wonderful mid-point stop or end point treat for a meal and a well deserved refreshment. Some lovely local products on sale. A small village but if you stop 'and smell the roses' you'll be rewarded with experiencing the energy that flows through the streets and vineyards.

Amazing quiet little town on walensee.

Amazing quiet little town on walensee. Views are just wonderful. The views are what you would imagine Switzerland to look like: Blue lake, mountains, green fields with a wooden farm and a Swiss flag 🇨🇭 Summer tips: -take a day on the boat (family tickets available) and explore the other little towns on the lake. - Go up to flumserberg and enjoy the hikes, mountain biking and more - enjoy the lake :)

The town itself was fine.

The town itself was fine. The Castle was really worth visiting alongside the small brochure guiding one around the old town. We went to the Berkwerk Mine, a short bus journey away, Disappointed as had not seen on its website that only organised groups would be shown the mine. Worth knowing that a 9 chf would give you travel on the buses all day. we went from Sargans to Vaduz and then Vaduz up to Malbun and return. excellent value. Well organised between rail & bus stations - of course, its Switzerland.

There was nothing to dislike.

There was nothing to dislike. I found Liechtenstein to be a very welcoming place. I think I could actually live there! Weather was good to us and the people were friendly. Our hotel was clean and very comfortable. We were given a free bus pass for the duration of our stay and the bus system was easy. Take note that if travelling through on a Sunday, there are fewer places open for dinner.
